04/15 Boston Marathon Bombing. 04/16 Ricin Letters discovered. 04/17 West Texas Plant explosion.
Officials saying at this juncture this is a crime scene/ accident.
Update according to Fox News Reporting RE: West Texas plant exposion as of 4/22/2013 There are 14 dead, 200 injured and 60 still unaccounted for.-PBN
A fire and chemical explosion at a Texas fertilizer plant in a small town north of Waco, Texas, killed an estimated five to 15 people, sent at least 180 to hospitals, flattened buildings and prompted widespread evacuations.
West Texas explosion video appears to show multiple blasts when slowed down.
The initial blast at the West Fertilizer Plant in West, Texas, occurred just before 8 p.m. Wednesday, but officials still were struggling to tally the dead and injured early this morning and searching door-to-door amid the rubble for survivors, Sgt. William Patrick Swanton of the Waco Police Department said.
Of the five to 15 deaths, Swanton told reporters, “I know that’s a rough estimate, but that’s the best that I can give you.”
West EMS Director Dr. George Smith, himself injured and bloody, said he had not personally seen bodies to confirm deaths, but believed the blast killed at least two emergency responders to a fire at the plant before the initial explosion and a person at a nearby apartment complex that suffered serious damage.
In addition, some responders to the fire were believed unaccounted for after the blast, according to Smith, Swanton and West Mayor Tommy Muska.
As they gained access to the explosion site, officials said they were treating it as a crime scene.
“We are not indicating that it is a crime, but we don’t know,” Swanton said. “What that means to us is that until we know that it is an industrial accident, we will work it as a crime scene. ATF [the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives] is conducting the main investigation.”
A young man out for a walk with Dad working on his 10 mile Eagle Scout patch witnessed his fathers illegal detainment and arrest in Temple Tx. Yes America, this is what we are coming to. Gun laws are becoming as useless as the Constitution is to Obama. Below is a link to help this Iraqi/ Afghanistan war veteran.
On March 16, 2013, my son and I were hiking along country roads among pastures and fields with my 15-year old son to help him earn his hiking merit badge. I always enjoy these father/son hikes because it gives me time alone with my son. As I always do when we go on these hikes and walks, I took my trusty rifle with me as there are coyotes, wild hogs, and cougars in our area. In Texas, it is legal to openly carry a rifle or shotgun as long as you do so in a manner that isn’t calculated to cause alarm. In other words, you can’t walk around waving your rifle at people. I always carry my rifle slung across my chest dangling, not holding it in my hands.
At about the 5 mile mark of our hike, a voice behind us asked us to stop and the officer motioned for us to approach him. He got out of his car and met us a few feet later. He asked us what we were doing and I explained that we were hiking for my son’s merit badge. He then asked me what I’m doing with the rifle, to which I responded in a calm manner, “Does it matter, officer? Am I breaking the law?”
At that point, the officer grabbed my rifle without warning or indication. He didn’t ask for my rifle and he didn’t suggest he would take it from me. He simply grabbed it. This startled me and I instantly pulled back – the rifle was attached to me – and I asked what he thought he was doing because he’s not taking my rifle. He then pulled his service pistol on me and told me to take my hands off the weapon and move to his car, which I complied with. He then slammed me into the hood of his car and I remembered I had a camera on me (one of the requirements of the hiking merit badge is to document your hikes). This video is the rest of that encounter. Up to this point, I am not told why I am being stopped, why he tried to disarm me, or even that I’m under arrest.
We did not set out that Saturday morning to “make a point” or cause problems. Our goal was to complete a 10-mile hike and return home without incident. My son chose a route that away from populated areas but near our home.
The arresting officer is Officer Steve Ermis and the supervisor is Sergeant Minnicks of the Temple Police Department.
More abuse of Christians. It’s just the beginning. And for all who don’t yet get it, the noise when Jesus returns will be the greatest of all.
Keep praising the Lord Mrs Anderson, keep on praising the Lord, because He inhabits the praises of His people.
The family of an elderly Florida woman is furious that she was hauled off a commuter train because she was singing spirituals and are considering legal action.
The family of Emma Anderson, 82, claim she was injured by a Metro-Dade Transit security guard who they said roughly yanked her from a train seat and escorted her off the train on Feb. 20.
Anderson of Miami-Dade, was singing spiritual hymns from her train seat when a security guard asked her to stop. The security guard told Anderson that she was being disruptive.
“I was beating my little beads with the bottle and I was singing a song, and he came up to me and said, ‘Ma’am, you’re making too much noise,’” Anderson told ABC News affiliate WPLG.
A passenger started recording Anderson and the guard’s interaction on his cell phone. The video shows Anderson being forcibly removed from the train.
“By what we saw on the footage, she was dragged off the train. She wasn’t escorted,” Anderson’s son, Kenny Anderson, 42, told ABC News. “She was just singing to the Lord, preaching to the Lord, and he grabbed her bag and drug her off the train.”
Kenny says the security guard pulled the bag his mother was holding so hard that she fell backwards and hurt herself.
“We took her to the hospital and they took X-rays. Doctors say she has a bruised hip and shoulder,” Anderson said.
One of the witnesses is heard on tape demanding the name of the security guard.
A spokesperson for Miami-Dade Transit told WPLG in a statement, “The elderly passenger, Ms. Anderson, who was escorted from a Metrorail train, was initially asked by a security guard to refrain from singing loudly and playing an instrument while on the train. She refused to comply.”
The spokesperson said singing, dancing or playing an instrument are prohibited without permit.
“Ms. Anderson’s singing was causing a disturbance to other passengers and impeding important train announcements from being heard. We regret that Ms. Anderson had to eventually be escorted out, but regardless of age, all passengers need to abide by the rules associated with using transit,” the statement said.
The Anderson family said they have hired an attorney and plan to pursue legal action for their mother’s injuries.
March 10th, 2013 marked the 64th birthday and 6th anniversary, of US citizen Robert “Bob” A. Levinson being held hostage allegedly by Iran. It is highly likely that Levinson is currently still being held hostage in Iran, Pakistan or Afghanistan. ” Bob Levinson is now the second-longest-held hostage in American history. Only Terry Anderson who was held as part of the Lebanon Hostage Crisis was in captivity longer.” 6’4″ formerly 225 pound Levinson, is a former retired FBI agent who specialized in Russian organized crime and served his country and the United States government faithfully.
Mr. Levinson was last seen March 9, 2007 leaving his hotel in Kish Island, Iran. He was visiting the Iranian Island while working on a case as a private investigator researching a lead about a criminal cigarette import/export scheme.
A ‘proof of life’ video was released in December 2011 by Levinson’s family that Levinson was still alive and was still held hostage. Robert Levinson suffers from diabetes, gout and his health was evidently failing and may be deteriorating further. The untraceable 54 second video and five photographs were anonymously sent to his family in November 2010. ”Whoever was behind the photos and video was no amateur, U.S. authorities concluded. They made no mistakes, leading investigators to conclude it had to be a professional intelligence service like Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security,” according to the analysis of the US government as reported by the Associated Press January 9, 2013.
In March, 2011, Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton attempted to get Iran off the hook and stated in an attempt at obtaining the goodwill of Iran in March 2011 that, “Levinson was being held somewhere in South Asia.” The Levinson family has its own websiteto help spread the word of their father and husband’s plight.
The family desperately seeks increased support from the mainstream media and the US Government for immediate resolution in Levinson’s return.
Mrs. Christine Levinson had appealed to President Obama, former Counter Terrorism Czar and newly appointed (as of today’s Congressional vote 63 yay 34 nay) head of the CIA, John Brennan. There has been, for the past six years now, zero response, updates or success by either Obama, Brennan or Clinton et al. It is now up to us, USA, to put pressure on Congress and the US State Department to bring this honorable servant of the US Government, United States Citizen, loving husband and father of seven, back home safely to his family.
The prayers of the United States of America are with you, and your entire family, Mr. Robert “Bob” A. Levinson. -PBN
Note: The FBI has posted reward information and pictures of Mr. Levinson on the Kidnappings & Missing Persons page of the FBI.gov website. We encourage anyone with information regarding Robert Levinson or his captors to contact the FBI at https://tips.fbi.gov. Information will be confidential and can be shared anonymously. (Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch released previously unseen USDA videos revealing a compulsory “Cultural Sensitivity Training” program requiring USDA employees to bang on tables, chanting in unison “The pilgrims were illegal aliens” while being instructed to no longer use the word “minorities,” but to replace it with “emerging majorities.” Judicial Watch received the videos pursuant to a May 18, 2012, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
The sensitivity training sessions, described as “a huge expense” by diversity awareness trainer and self-described “citizen of the world” Samuel Betances, were held on USDA premises. The diversity event is apparently part of what USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack described in a memo sent to all agency employees as a “new era of Civil Rights” and “a broader effort towards cultural transformation at USDA.” In 2011 and 2012, the USDA paid Betances and his firm nearly $200,000 for their part in the “cultural transformation” program.
USDA Training Administrator, Vincent Loran, in an October 10, 2011, email previously revealed by Judicial Watch, asked Betances for a copy of a training video vowing to keep it secret. “It will not be used for or show [sic] in any way shape or form,” Loran promised. Nevertheless, Judicial Watch was able to obtain the video. Highlights from the video of the taxpayer-financed diversity training include:
USDA Sensitivity Training Video Excerpt 1 – “If you take a look at all of you here and you think about your salaries and your benefits and what you have left undone – plus my fee – plus the expense of the team that putting the video together, this is a huge expense.”
USDA Sensitivity Training Video Excerpt 2 – “I want you to say that American was founded by outsiders – say that – who are today’s insiders, who are very nervous about today’s outsiders. I want you to say, ‘The pilgrims were illegal aliens.’ Say, ‘The pilgrims never gave their passports to the Indians.’” Betances also asked the audience, “Give me a bam,” after these statements, to which the audience replied in unison.
USDA Sensitivity Training Video Excerpt 3 – “By the way, I don’t like the word ‘minorities.’ How about ‘emerging majorities?’”
The complete video is available here:
“This USDA diversity training video depicts out-of-control political correctness,” said Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch. “Can someone please explain how any of this helps USDA employees to better serve the American taxpayer? This video further confirms that politically-correct diversity training programs are both offensive and a waste of taxpayer money. No wonder it took over half a year to obtain this video from the Obama administration.”
As reported by Fox News in October, 2012, Judicial Watch first broke the news of the USDA compulsory sensitivity training program based upon information it obtained in response to a FOIA request. That request was prompted by a tip provided to the organization by a USDA whistleblower.
Judicial Watch also previously uncovered information revealing that in April 2011, the USDA had treated 300 of its employees to a taxpayer-funded ‘tasty celebration’ of dishes from around the world, salsa dancing lessons from Vincent Loran, and a rap performance by a USDA employee who shared his feelings on human differences.
Last Updated, 4:54 p.m. Speaking on camera for the first time since she survived an assassination attempt by the Pakistani Taliban last year, the young activist Malala Yousafzai began with the words, “Today you can see that I’m alive.” The 15-year-old, who was shot in the head as she left school in Pakistan’s Swat Valley four months ago, promised that she would continue to be an outspoken advocate of the right for “every girl, every child, to be educated.”
In the brief statement, the young advocate attributed her survival to the prayers of her supporters and urged them to contribute to a fund established in her name to further the cause of education for girls. “Because of these prayers, God has given me this new life,” Ms. Yousafzai said. “And this is a second life; this is a new life. And I want to serve, I want to serve the people.”
A video statement from Malala Yousafzai, a young Pakistani activist who was shot in the head by Taliban militants.
The English-language statement was recorded just before Ms. Yousafzaiunderwent surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, England, over the weekend to repair damage to her skull caused by the bullet fired into her head at point-blank range in October.
On Monday, the hospital released more video of the young patient, speaking to one of her doctors after the five-hour operation to reconstruct her skull and implant a device to restore hearing to her left ear.
Video of Malala Yousafzai speaking to a doctor in Birmingham, England after an operation on Saturday.
“I’m feeling alright and I’m happy that the operations, both the operations, were successful,” she told Dr. Mav Manji, a critical care specialist at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Asked about the future, she said, “My mission is the same, to help people, and I will do that.” She also expressed her gratitude to the doctors in Pakistan and Britain who cared for her. “God gave me a new life,” she said, “because of the prayers of people and because of the talent of doctors.”
At a news conference on Monday, Dr. Anwen White, the neurosurgeon who led the reconstructive surgery, and Dr. Dave Rosser, the hospital’s medical director, explained that the titanium cranioplasty, which involved repairing the missing area of her skull with a specially molded titanium plate, “went very well.” (Video of the news conference was posted online by Britain’s Channel 4 News and the hospital uploaded images of the surgery in progress to YouTube.)
An update posted on the hospital’s Web site explained that, after the skull surgery, “Malala then had a cochlear implant fitted – a small, complex electronic device that provides a sense of sound to someone who is profoundly deaf or severely hard of hearing. The cochlear implant is to restore hearing to her left ear after she was left deaf in that ear by the bullet.”
As Fatima Manji of Britain’s Channel 4 News reports, the activist alsorecorded statements in Urdu and Pashto, languages spoken in Pakistan and Afghanistan. In the Urdu version, Ms. Manji notes, the girl said, “I would be willing to sacrifice myself again.”
UPDATE: We have evidence that Obama has at least three (3) different versions of where he was on August 4th. Breaking news coming soon. This looks to be another Barack Obama fabrication, and one that we hope he will not get away with. No big deal right? We think it is a big deal because it just adds to the levels this man will go to fabricate for his sake a cult of personality that is not reality. We invite other photographers and videographers to comment. We have taken into consideration hi-speed 1/2000 or better shutters or frames of video. There is no reason for a shot taken, in our opinion, at this level an attitude for the muzzle. We believe this to be a staged shot so that the most uninformed will be mislead.
What’s wrong with this picture?
Chances are it was taken as a single frame from a video. So where is the video why not show the public that? Why would they take a single frame from a video and suppress the video? Reason dramatization of the smoking muzzle. It is easy to see the level of the firearms barrel, far to level to the ground for skeet.
Has Obama ever held a gun before? His stance, posture and grip are wrong, and very high on the shoulder. This will leave a bad bruise.
Unless they used a high speed camera it looks like he’s firing a blank. Even light loads should show some barrel rise and recoil that would result in camera blur.
There are other issues with this photo, but we have spent enough time on this Prevaricator of the United States.
Let’s review:
Weapon too high on shoulder.
Aim too low for skeet.
No barrel rise or recoil that would result in camera blur, even in video.
“Throughout history, disarming the populace has always preceded tyrants’ accession of power. Hitler, Stalin, and Mao all disarmed their citizens prior to installing their murderous regimes.” -PBN
Politicians, pundits and private citizens have been sounding off on Barack Obama’s new push for gun bans, but what do the professionals whose job it is to use guns in the protection of their nation, their fellow countrymen and themselves say?
The soldiers say first it’s important to define the issue and set the record straight.
“The terms ‘assault weapon’ and ‘assault rifle’ are often confused,” they say. “According to Bruce H. Kobayashi and Joseph E. Olson, writing in the Stanford Law and Policy Review, ‘Prior to 1989, the term ‘assault weapon’ did not exist in the lexicon of firearms. It is a political term, developed by anti-gun publicists to expand the category of assaults rifles.’”
The Green Berets, who use the weapons, point out the M4A1 carbine is a U.S. military service rifle – it is an assault rifle.”
“The AR-15 is not an assault rifle. The ‘AR’ in its name does not stand for ‘Assault Rifle’ – it is the designation from the first two letters of the manufacturer’s name – ArmaLite Corporation. The AR-15 is designed so that it cosmetically looks like the M4A1 carbine assault rifle, but it is impossible to configure the AR-15 to be a fully automatic assault rifle. It is a single shot semi-automatic rifle that can fire between 45 and 60 rounds per minute depending on the skill of the operator. The M4A1 can fire up to 950 rounds per minute. In 1986, the federal government banned the import or manufacture of new fully automatic firearms for sale to civilians. Therefore, the sale of assault rifles are already banned or heavily restricted!”
Likewise, they say, a ban on “high-capacity” magazines would be irrelevant, pointing to the shooting by Eric Harris at Columbine High School as proof. The letter explains that when the first weapons ban was adopted in 1994, manufacturers retooled their products to meet the requirements of the law.
“One of those ban-compliant firearms was the Hi-Point 995, which was sold with ten-round magazines. In 1999, five years into the Federal Assault Weapons Ban, the Columbine High School massacre occurred. One of the perpetrators, Eric Harris, was armed with a Hi-Point 995. Undeterred by the ten-round capacity of his magazines, Harris simply brought more of them: thirteen magazines would be found in the massacre’s aftermath. Harris fired 96 rounds before killing himself.”
And, underlying the issue, the letter says, is the Constitution’s assurance of protection for the “sacrosanct” right of self-defense.
“Our Constitution established a system of governance that preserves, protects, and holds sacrosanct the individual rights and primacy of the governed as well as providing for the explicit protection of the governed from governmental tyranny and/or oppression,” they say..
They write that it is easy to blame guns, but weapons aren’t really the problem. Civilized society already proves it, they contend.
“We cite the experience in Great Britain,” they write. In 1987 was the Hungerford massacre that killed 18, and the government followed with a 1988 law banning semi-automatic guns. But eight years later, a “disturbed” man murdered 16 children and a teacher the Dunblane school. Immediately the law was amended to ban “all private ownership of handguns.”
Somehow, criminals apparently didn’t get the message, the letter suggests.
“Despite having the toughest gun control laws in the world, gun related crimes increased in 2003 by 35 percent over the previous year with firearms used in 9,974 recorded crimes… Gun related homicides were up 32 percent over the same period. … Gun related crime had increased 65 percent since the Dunblane massacre and implementation of the toughest gun control laws in the developed world,” the letter says.
“In contrast, in 2009 (5 years after the Federal Assault Weapons Ban expired) total firearm related homicides in the U.S. declined by 9 percent from the 2005 high,” the letter says, citing FBI statistics.
Since gun bans don’t really impact violence, what is the issue at hand?
“The purpose of the Second Amendment is to secure our ability to oppose enemies foreign and domestic, a guarantee against disorder and tyranny,” the Green Berets say.
“Throughout history, disarming the populace has always preceded tyrants’ accession of power. Hitler, Stalin, and Mao all disarmed their citizens prior to installing their murderous regimes. At the beginning of our own nation’s revolution, one of the first moves made by the British government was an attempt to disarm our citizens. When our Founding Fathers ensured that the Second Amendment was made a part of our Constitution, they were not just wasting ink. They were acting to ensure our present security was never forcibly endangered by tyrants, foreign or domestic.”
But school shootings are horrible and need to be addressed, they write.
“First, it is important that we recognize that this is not a gun control problem; it is a complex sociological problem. No single course of action will solve the problem.”
The military veterans say local schools should make their own decisions and plans.
“Most recently the Cleburne Independent School District will become the first district in North Texas to consider allowing some teachers to carry concealed guns. We do not opine as to the appropriateness of this decision, but we do support their right to make this decision for themselves.”
Further, those individuals with diagnosed conditions that impact their ability to make decisions can be addressed with programs of treatment.
“In each of these mass shooting incidents the perpetrator was mentally unstable,” the Green Berets says
Firearms safety programs in schools could help, and a repeal of laws making them gun-free zones should be considered by local officials.
Also, the violence in video games needs to be addressed.
“”War and war-like behavior should not be glorified. Hollywood and video game producers are exploiting something they know nothing about. General Sherman famously said, ‘War is hell!’ Leave war to the professionals,’” the letter says
“This is our country, these are our rights. We believe that it is time that we take personal responsibility for our choices and actions rather than abdicate that responsibility to someone else under the illusion that we have done something that will make us all safer. We have a responsibility to stand by our principles and act in accordance with them. Our children are watching and they will follow the example we set,” they write.
UPDATE: A Washington, D.C., conservative radio station has refused to sell airtime for a political statement from the writer-actor-singer who performed for years as television’s Buck Howdy – deeming it too “controversial.”“How sad that we live in a time when a message supporting the Constitution is deemed too controversial,” Grammy-winning musician Steve Vaus, creator of the Buck Howdy character, told WND today. D.C. conservative station shuts down political speech
Law abiding citizens do not possess assault weapons, they own defense weapons. And just so we are clear to the gun grabbers. The phrase “You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hands” is not simply a saying, it is a constitutional right and way of life. For those who are not apprised of the phrase “Molon Labe” it means “Come and take”. Spoken by King Leonidas in response to the Persian King Xerxes (Persia is now Iran) army’s demand that the Spartans surrender their weapons at the Battle of Thermopylae. It is a classical expression of defiance. So we will succinctly say it, Molon Labe!
Freedom has never been free. It has been paid for with the blood of Patriots since the birth of our Great Republic USA. As time passes, it is up to true Americans to teach the next generation the Truth about Liberty and its cost. The greatest Country of all time has been the most free and the most brave due to the Faith by Grace of its Citizens upon The Rock, The Cornerstone of our Country, The Lord Jesus Christ Who is the Only Mediator between God The Father and all of Mankind, which includes woman too, of course.
Our Freedom of Speech and of Worship has always been contingent on the Safety and Security of Keeping that Freedom. The Right to Bear Arms, the 2nd Amendment to our US Constitution was not given to the People for the People by the People so that we could continue to Deer or Bear Hunt, or even to simply and rightfully protect our homes.
The MAIN reason has ALWAYS been to keep “We the People” safe and secure from the eventual possible reality of a corrupted, atheistic/agnostic, and ever-emboldened tyrannical government bent on usurping our God Given Freedoms away from “We The People”. Our Founding Fathers knew this grave potential for it was from whence they had come. The King of England had shown them no mercy and had followed those Freedom seekers to the shores of this Great New Land. The founders had stated how important our God Given Freedoms and Rights were clearly in black and white in our US Constitution and in the Declaration of Independence, the Founding document upon which the US Constitution was based. USA- The Home of the Free and the Brave.
Stay strong. Stay courageous. Our strength is in the Lord, the Joy of the Lord. His name is JESUS. There is No Other Name by which we can be saved!- PBN

Come and Take It,” the song that has rallied gun owners with its remember-the-Alamo-like message, now has an accompanying music video with a special message for Barack Obama and members of Congress.
Grammy-winning musician Steve Vaus, creator of the Buck Howdy character, recorded the song that defies those advocating gun confiscation with one of the slogans of the Texas Revolution, “Come and take it.”
Though the song itself is more vague, the video leaves no doubt who Vaus is talking to in the lyrics.
“Mr. President, members of Congress,” Vaus says in the opening to the video, “you’ve been making a lot of noise about taking our guns away. But you might want to review history.
“1835. Gonzales, Texas Territory,” Vaus continues. “The authorities wanted to confiscate the big gun that protected that colony. You know what the people said? ‘Come and take it.’ Because they were willing to fight for their freedom and their guns. So are we.”
The video then launches into the pointed chorus: “Come and take it if you want it. Come and take it if you think you can. Come and take it, but we’ll warn you, you’ll have to pry it from our cold, dead hands.”
The lyrics continue, “We want the freedom that God gave us, so you best not cross that line. If you want this gun you gotta to come through us and take it, one shot at a time.”
The slogan, “Come and take it,” became the battle cry and banner of the Texas Revolution after the 1835 Battle of Gonzalez, in which Texians defied the Mexican government’s demand to return a cannon that had been given them for self-defense. Rather than surrender the cannon to Mexican dragoons, Texians stormed the Mexican camp and drove the soldiers away.
As Vaus’ song sings, “You just don’t mess with Texas, especially when it comes to guns.”

We gave it seven days to see if any of the so-called “mainstream media” — a pejorative phrase that too-often obscures more than it reveals — bestowed the hate speech even a few sentences of back-page ink. Nothing.

A new video has emerged showing a large crowd of supporters of the Syrian rebellion singing an apparent ode to the 9/11 attacks that celebrates Osama bin Laden as “America’s worst nightmare.”
The rebellion against the rule of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad enjoys the backing of the Obama administration, which recently recognized its political wing, the so-called Syrian National Coalition, as the “sole legitimate representative” of the Syrian people.
Moreover, if numerous reports in the mainstream media are to be believed, the administration’s support for the rebellion has gone beyond mere diplomatic or “moral” support and includes the provision of logistical aid to rebel forces. Reuters reported in August that President Obama had signed a secret order authorizing such support to be provided by the CIA and other American agencies.
While American support for the rebellion appears not to have included the direct provision of arms, according to reports in both The Washington Post and The New York Times, it has included the coordination of arms shipments underwritten by regional powers Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The administration has publicly admitted to providing around $50 million in “non-lethal” aid to Syrian opposition groups.
According to both a date stamp on the video and writing on a piece of paper held up to the camera, the rally documented in the footage occurred on Dec. 14. The Arabic writing on the paper identifies the place as Yabroud, a Syrian city some 50 miles to the north of the capital Damascus.
The writing on the paper further declares, “No to the American intervention. We are all Jabhat al-Nusra.”
The motto refers to the Al-Nusra Front: a powerful rebel group that late last year was designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S. government. The designation, more specifically, treats Jabhat al-Nusra as an offshoot of al-Qaida in Iraq: the Iraqi al-Qaida affiliate that spearheaded an insurrection against American troops and their Iraqi government allies and that gained notoriety for its gruesome executions of American and other hostages.
The designation was made public on Dec. 10, sparking protests from numerous Syrian opposition groups and a call for rallies to be held the following Friday under the motto, “No to the American intervention. We are all Jabhat al-Nusra.”
A banner that is held up by members of the crowd in the Yabroud video likewise features the motto.
The crowd is taken through its paces by a chant-leader wearing a black headband with the shahada or Islamic declaration of faith printed on it. Members of the crowd can be seen waving both the black flag of jihad and the green, white and black flag of the Syrian rebellion.
According to English sub-titles added to the video by the Facebook page SyrianRebelWatch, the crowd sings about the twin towers of the World Trade Center disappearing in the “blink of an eye” and concludes “how sweet is the memory.”
The next line of the song celebrates Osama bin Laden as “America’s worst nightmare,” who fought with the “power of our faith” and “our weapon the PK machine gun.”
As the words “Osama bin Laden” are uttered, a cheer goes up throughout the crowd. The song continues, “If they call me a terrorist, I will consider it an honor.”
Although recently re-posted with the subtitles by SyrianRebelWatch, the video was originally posted on the very day of the rally by YouTube user “Yabroud Direct.”
Yabroud Direct links in turn to the clearly pro-rebellion websites Yabroud Revolution and YabCoordination. The piece of paper held up in the video likewise mentions the “Coordination of the Town of Yabroud,” apparently a reference to the local organizers of the rally.
Yabroud Direct has also posted several other videos of the December 14 rally. One of these videos even includes a series of messages in both Arabic and English, which are held up to the camera on small pieces of paper.
The first message reads “Our way is al-Jihad, Our Demand is Islamic Polity.” Another asks, “Secular America: Are you afraid from [sic] Islam?” A third declares, “All of the World should know: Our ISLAM is Red Line.”
While stigmatizing Jabhat al-Nusra, the Obama administration has sought to depict the terror group as somehow alien to the Syrian rebellion as such, which it continues to support.
Thus, commenting on the designation of Jabhat al-Nusra as a terror organization, State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland dismissed the group as “an attempt by AQI [Al-Qaida in Iraq] to hijack the struggles of the Syrian people for its own malign purposes.”
“The violent, sectarian vision of al-Nusrah is at odds with the aspirations of the Syrian people,” Nuland continued, “including the overwhelming majority of the Syrian opposition, who seek a free, democratic, and inclusive Syria.”
But the outpourings of support for Jabhat al-Nusra in the aftermath of the designation belie the state department’s assurances in this regard.
As the motto “We are all Jabhat al-Nusra” makes clear, actual partisans of the rebellion in Syria reject the distinction made by the administration and openly embrace the al-Qaida affiliate.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police need help identifying a man who tried to rob a corner market near Muskego and Becher on the city’s south side. The incident was caught on surveillance video.
The suspect entered the San Ignacio Market around 6:30 p.m. on Friday, December 14th. He went to the counter to purchase a soda.
“I didn’t really pay much attention. Then, he got up and set the soda on the counter. Next thing I know, he’d brought out his knife and grabbed the register,” Ernestine Aldana said.
When the register was opened, the suspect pulled a knife and ripped the till from the register. Aldana then pulled a gun on the suspect and the suspect dropped the till on the way out. The suspect did not get any money.
Aldana told FOX6 News she barely remembers anything after she saw the knife and pulled out a gun. However, the video shows how she aggressively defended her store.
“I just remember grabbing the gun and pointed it hat his head. He was running and I took off after him outside,” Aldana said.
Aldana said she and her husband, who both own the store got the gun for safety and practiced at the shooting range a few times. However, Aldana said this is the first time in their two-and-a-half years of being open they’ve ever had a problem.
“If I would have fired it would have been a head shot, so I couldn’t do it. I would have killed him if I had, so I couldn’t,” Aldana said.
The suspect is described as a white male, 25-35 years old, 165 pounds.
Aldana said she hopes this situation never happens again in her store, or to anyone else.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Milwaukee police at 414-935-7360.
