3 Years Ago Obama Bans Words: Islamist & Terrorist Terms Tied To Muslim Nations

http://obama-and-islam.blogspot.com/

USA.  What exactly has changed since 3 years ago til now? There has been more violence, more carnage, more terror attacks plaguing the United States on US soil than ever before.  Obama and his Czars and his personal Socialist/Fascist Islamic allies such as Egypt’s Morsi have only been emboldened and inspired by the lack of leadership to protect US Sovereignty, US Troops, US $$$ and US Lives.  Words DO matter.-PBN

The Obama administration has just announced its intent to ban all words that allude to Islam from important national security documents. Put differently, the Obama administration has just announced its intent to ban all knowledge and context necessary to confront and defeat radical Islam (news much welcomed by Islamist organizations [1] like CAIR [2]). While this move may reflect a naively therapeutic administration — an Obama advisor once suggested that Winnie the Pooh [3] should inform U.S foreign policy — that Obama, the one U.S. president who best knows [4] that politically correct niceties will have no effect on the Muslim world, is enforcing this ban is further troubling.

An Associated Press report [5] has the disturbing details:

President Barack Obama’s advisers plan to remove terms such as “Islamic radicalism” from a document outlining national security strategy and will use the new version to emphasize that the U.S. does not view Muslim nations through the lens of terrorism, counterterrorism officials say.

First off, how, exactly, does the use of terms such as “Islamic radicalism” indicate that the U.S. views “Muslim nations through the lens of terrorism”? It is the height of oversensitivity to think that the so-called “Muslim street” can be antagonized by (ultimately accurate) words in technical U.S. documents — documents they don’t know or care about — especially since the Arabic media itself often employs such terms. Surely we can use “Islamic radicalism” to define, well, Islamic radicals, without simultaneously viewing all Muslims “through the lens of terrorism”? Just as surely as we can use words like “Nazism” to define white supremacists, without viewing all whites through the lens of racism?

The AP report continues:

Obama’s speechwriters have taken inspiration from an unlikely source: former President Ronald Reagan. Visiting communist China in 1984, Reagan spoke at Fudan University in Shanghai about education, space exploration and scientific research. He discussed freedom and liberty. He never mentioned communism or democracy.

The analogy is flawed. For starters, in Reagan’s era, the Soviet Union, not China, was America’s prime antagonist — just as today, Islamic radicals, not Muslims, are America’s prime enemy. Moreover, unlike Obama, who would have the U.S. bend over backwards — or, in his case, just bend over [6] — to appease Muslims, Reagan regularly lambasted the Soviet Union, dubbing it the “evil empire.” Finally, the Chinese never attacked America, unlike Islamic radicals, who not only have attacked it, but daily promise it death and destruction — all in the name of Islam.

The ultimate problem in the White House’s new “words-policy,” however, is reflected in this excerpt from the report:

The change [i.e., linguistic obfuscation] would be a significant shift in the National Security Strategy, a document that previously outlined the Bush Doctrine of preventive war. It currently states, “The struggle against militant Islamic radicalism is the great ideological conflict of the early years of the 21st century.”

No doubt this important document will soon say something totally meaningless like “The struggle against extremism is the great ideological conflict of the early years of the 21st century.” Such changes bode ill for the future. For it is one thing to carefully choose your words when directly addressing Muslims; it is quite another to censor American analysts and policymakers from using the necessary terms that conceptualize who the enemy is and what he wants.

The situation is already dire. There is already a lamentable lack [7] of study concerning Muslim war doctrine in the curriculum of American military studies, including in the Pentagon [8] andU.S. Army War College [9]. Obama’s more aggressive censorship program will only exacerbate matters: another recently released strategic document, the QDR [10], nary mentions anything remotely related to Islam — even as it stresses climate change [11], which it sees as an “accelerant of instability and conflict” around the world.

At any rate, as I have argued [12] several [13] times [14] before [15], the U.S. government needs to worry less about which words appease Muslims — another governmental memo [16] warns against “offending,” “insulting,” or being “confrontational” to Muslims — and worry more about providing its own citizenry with accurate knowledge concerning its greatest enemy.

In short, knowledge is inextricably linked to language. The more generic speech becomes, the less precise the knowledge it imparts; conversely, the more precise the language, the more precise the knowledge. In the conflict against Islamic radicalism — there, I said it — to acquire accurate knowledge, which is essential to victory, we need to begin with accurate language.

This means U.S. intelligence analysts and policymakers need to be able to use, and fully appreciate the significance of, words related to Islam — starting with the word “Islam” itself, i.e., submission.

It means the U.S. military needs to begin expounding and studying Islamic war doctrine — without fear of reprisals [17].

In sum, it means America’s leadership needs to take that ancient dictum [18] — “Know thy enemy” — seriously.

Deplorably enough, nearly a decade after the Islamist-inspired attacks of 9/11, far from knowing its enemy, the U.S. government is banning itself from merely acknowledging its enemy, which is doubly problematic, as knowledge begins with acknowledgment.

Nor is there much room for optimism: if the Obama administration can easily expose America to attack by reducing our physical defenses [19], surely a subversion of our intellectual safeguards — that is, a subversion of something as abstract as knowledge — will go unchecked.

FBI Offers $1 Million Reward For Information to Bring Iranian Hostage Robert A. Levinson Home to USA Safely

Former FBI Agent: Robert A. Levinson Needs our help USA.

Robert Levinson Needs our help USA.

March 10th, 2013 marked the 64th birthday and 6th anniversary, of  US citizen Robert “Bob” A. Levinson being held hostage allegedly by Iran.  It is highly likely that Levinson is  currently still being held hostage in Iran, Pakistan or Afghanistan. ” Bob Levinson is now the second-longest-held hostage in American history.  Only Terry Anderson who was held as part of the Lebanon Hostage Crisis was in captivity longer.”  6’4″  formerly 225 pound Levinson, is a former retired FBI agent who specialized in Russian organized crime and served his country and the United States government faithfully.

Mr. Levinson was last seen March 9, 2007 leaving his hotel in Kish Island, Iran.  He was visiting the Iranian Island while working on a case as a private investigator researching a lead about a criminal cigarette import/export scheme.

A ‘proof of life’ video was released in December 2011 by Levinson’s family that Levinson was still alive and was still held hostage.  Robert Levinson suffers from diabetes, gout and his health was evidently failing and may be deteriorating further.  The untraceable 54 second video and five photographs were anonymously sent to his family in November 2010.  ”Whoever was behind the photos and video was no amateur, U.S. authorities concluded. They made no mistakes, leading investigators to conclude it had to be a professional intelligence service like Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security,” according to the analysis of the US government as reported by the Associated Press January 9, 2013.

In March, 2011, Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton attempted to get Iran off the hook and stated in an attempt at obtaining the goodwill of Iran in March 2011 that, “Levinson was being held somewhere in South Asia.”  The Levinson family has its own website to help spread the word of their father and husband’s plight.

The family desperately seeks increased support from the mainstream media and the US Government for immediate resolution in Levinson’s return.

Mrs. Christine Levinson had appealed to President Obama, former Counter Terrorism Czar and newly appointed (as of today’s Congressional vote 63 yay  34 nay) head of the CIA, John Brennan. There has been, for the past six years now, zero response, updates or success by either Obama, Brennan or Clinton et al.   It is now up to us, USA, to put pressure on Congress and the US State Department to bring this honorable servant of the US Government, United States Citizen, loving husband and father of seven, back home safely to his family.

The prayers of the United States of America are with you, and your entire family, Mr. Robert “Bob” A. Levinson. -PBN

Note: The FBI has posted reward information and pictures of Mr. Levinson on the Kidnappings & Missing Persons page of the FBI.gov website. We encourage anyone with information regarding Robert Levinson or his captors to contact the FBI at https://tips.fbi.gov. Information will be confidential and can be shared anonymously. Osama bin Laden’s Wingman: Sulaiman Abu Ghayth, Arrested/Arraignment March 8, 2013

Sulaiman Abu Ghayth

WASHINGTON—Sulaiman Abu Ghayth, a/k/a “Suleiman Abu Gayth,” a former associate of Osama bin Laden, has been arrested and charged in an indictment unsealed today

in New York City with conspiracy to kill U.S. nationals, announced Attorney General Eric Holder, Assistant Attorney General for National Security Lisa Monaco, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara, the Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s New York Field Office George Venizelos, and the Police Commissioner of the City of New York (NYPD) Raymond W. Kelly. Abu Ghayth is expected to be presented and arraigned tomorrow, March 8, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. before U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan.

“No amount of distance or time will weaken our resolve to bring America’s enemies to justice,” said Attorney General Holder. “To violent extremists who threaten the American people and seek to undermine our way of life, this arrest sends an unmistakable message: There is no corner of the world where you can escape from justice because we will do everything in our power to hold you accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”

“The arrest of Abu Ghayth is an important milestone in our ongoing counter-terrorism efforts. I applaud the many agents, analysts, and prosecutors responsible for bringing about this significant case and arrest,” said Assistant Attorney General Monaco.

“It has been 13 years since Abu Ghayth allegedly worked alongside Osama bin Laden in his campaign of terror and 13 years since he allegedly took to the public airwaves, exhorting others to embrace al Qaeda’s cause and warning of more terrorist attacks like the mass murder of 9/11,” said U.S. Attorney Bharara. “The memory of those attacks is indelibly etched on the American psyche, and today’s action is the latest example of our commitment to capturing and punishing enemies of the United States, no matter how long it takes.”

“Sulaiman Abu Ghayth held a key position in al Qaeda, comparable to the consigliere in a mob family or propaganda minister in a totalitarian regime,” said FBI Assistant Director in Charge Venizelos. “He used his position to persuade others to swear loyalty to al Qaeda’s murderous cause. He used his position to threaten the United States and incite its enemies. His apprehension is another important step in the campaign to limit the reach of al Qaeda and enhance our national and international security.”

“While New York City must remain vigilant to continued terrorist threats against it, Abu Ghayth’s apprehension and prosecution promises to close another chapter in al Qaeda’s notoriously violent history of killing Americans,” said NYPD Commissioner Kelly. “This case also represents another success in the ongoing partnership between federal agents and NYPD detectives through the JTTF.”

As alleged in the superseding indictment that has been filed against Abu Ghayth in federal court:

Since around 1989, al Qaeda has been an international terrorist organization dedicated to opposing non-Islamic governments with force and violence. Osama bin Laden served as the leader, or “emir,” of al Qaeda until his death on or about May 2, 2011. Members of al Qaeda typically have pledged an oath of allegiance, called bayat, to bin Laden and to al Qaeda.

The core purpose of al Qaeda, as stated by bin Laden and other leaders, is to support violent attacks against property and nationals, both military and civilian, of the United States and other countries. Between 1989 and 2001, al Qaeda established training camps, guest houses, and business operations in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other countries for the purpose of training and supporting its agenda of violence and murder. Members and associates of al Qaeda have executed a number of terrorist attacks, all in furtherance of the organization’s stated conspiracy to kill Americans, including the attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001, in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, which killed approximately 2,976 people.

From at least May 2001 up to around 2002, Abu Ghayth served alongside Osama bin Laden, appearing with bin Laden and his then-deputy Ayman al Zawahiri, speaking on behalf of the terrorist organization and in support of its mission, and warning that attacks similar to those of September 11, 2001, would continue.

In particular, around May 2001, Abu Ghayth urged individuals at a guest house in Kandahar, Afghanistan, to swear bayat to bin Laden. On the evening of September 11, 2001, after the terrorist attacks on the United States, bin Laden summoned Abu Gayth and asked for his assistance, and he agreed to provide it. On the morning of September 12, 2001, Abu Ghayth, appeared with bin Laden and al Zawahiri and spoke on behalf of al Qaeda, warning the United States and its allies that “[a] great army is gathering against you” and called upon “the nation of Islam” to do battle against “the Jews, the Christians, and the Americans.” Also, after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Abu Ghayth delivered a speech in which he addressed the then-U.S. Secretary of State and warned that “the storms shall not stop, especially the airplanes storm” and advised Muslims, children, and opponents of the United States “not to board any aircraft and not to live in high rises.”

Abu Gayth arranged to be, and was, successfully smuggled from Afghanistan into Iran in 2002.

Obama’s Priorities: Glitz and Glamour vs Security of Our Nation

OGitzNewly appointed Secretary of State John Kerry went under the radar to meet with the Saudi Crown Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia today March 4th, 2013, and in addition, met with the president of the Palestinians, Mahmud Abbas, who arrived in Riyadh unannounced. Let’s remember that March 16, 2011—the day after the first mass demonstration against the Assad regime—John Kerry said Assad was a man of his word who had been “very generous with me” and “Syria will move; Syria will change as it embraces a legitimate relationship with the United States.” Now Syria threatens Israel and are encouraging US involvement in that threat.

It appears, at least by perusing events scheduled on the US Presidential Calendar, that Obama’s priorities are more to rub elbows with Hollywood’s elite such as 1600 Penn co-screenwriters who were both former and soon-to-be former Obama speechwriters.  The POTUS had invited the team and the actors of the 1600 Penn show to the White House this past January 9th, 2013. Notably absent on recent White House invitee lists are leaders of our nation’s allies, such as Britain’s Queen Elizabeth and Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu, who might choose to discuss more substantial and relevant topics such as how to combat the Global War on Terror. Perhaps popcorn trumps politics, as does the government of Islam versus our US Constitutional guaranteed Freedoms. The POTUS is too busy currying special favors from the 6th Islamic Saudi King and cozying up to the President of the Palestinians to worry about problems on the US front apparently.  Some trivial topics may include the memory of Beyonce singing The National Anthem at Obama’s second Presidential Inauguration only to find out later that Beyonce’s performance was a “canned” pre-recorded version.  Even our United States Marines weren’t allowed to perform live for the event and were forced to “fake it” by pantomiming performing on their instruments during the playing of the recording of our United States National Anthem.

http://cdn.theatlanticwire.com/img/upload/2012/12/10/A9uwd0_CQAA1HU3/large.jpg

Citizens of the Republic of The United States, we might want to pay attention to Obama’s prioritized guest lists, functions and delegations abroad and at home.
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud King of Saudi Arabia, was listed first on Obama’s Presidential Delegation being sent on behalf of the United States of America to the Inauguration of the first female President of South Korea.  The sixty-one year old President Park Geun-hye, was inaugurated as the very first female president to the Republic of Korea on February 25th, 2013. Obama and Geun-hye seem to employ the same musical taste and artists at the Republic of Korea’s Presidential Inaugurationand Obama’s Annual Holiday Event,  December 10th, 2012, with South Korean artist Psy.  Obama also sent many others to South Korea.  Notable attendees were VP Joe Biden and former Secretary of State Hilary Rodham Clinton. It appears by some of his scheduled priorities, or lack thereof, that Obama chases after glitz and glamour and holds Islam in higher esteem far above America’s National security.  – MKO at PushBackNow.com

White House Press Corps Outraged at Being Shut Out of Obama’s Entire Weekend

obama mysteryPublisher’s Note: Why would Obama shut the press out of a simple weekend of golf? Our logic is that he wouldn’t. So what exactly is he doing down in Florida? Why the lack of transparency? Yet another mystery of the Obama administration. -PBN

The White House press corps has been almost entirely shut out of President Obama’s weekend in Florida, and the journalists who make a living recording the president’s every move aren’t happy about it.

The Washington Post relates (all subsequent emphasis added):

[Obama] disappeared late Friday evening behind the gates of the Floridian, a lush golf and residential compound off limits to the public. Neither the public outside those gates, nor the media, has seen him since.

A photo of Obama on the course with someone as famous as Woods is commonly a moment the “traveling pool” of about a dozen journalists is allowed to witness. White House officials declined to allow that Sunday.

For the long weekend, the pool has been permitted just inside the Floridian gates, where reporters have used as their “filing center” a mirror-ceilinged party bus, the kind used for shouldn’t-be-driving evenings of bacchanalia like bachelor parties.

Because the president’s motorcade has not left the compound, White House officials have explained, there is no reason for the pool to track the president’s activities or to know who he is spending time with on a personal vacation.

White House Correspondents Association’s president Ed Henry released a statement condemning the lack of transparency Sunday:

“Speaking on behalf of the White House Correspondents Association, I can say a broad cross section of our members from print, radio, online and TV have today expressed extreme frustration to me about having absolutely no access to the President of the United States this entire weekend.  There is a very simple but important principle we will continue to fight for today and in the days ahead: transparency.”

But White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest maintains:

“The press access granted by the White House today is entirely consistent with the press access offered for previous presidential golf outings. It’s also consistent with the press access promised to the White House Press Corps prior to arrival in Florida on Friday evening.”

Benghazi: Retaliation For Brennan’s Secret Wars

http://cdn.breitbart.com/mediaserver/Breitbart/Big-Government/2013/Cabinet-Agency-Candidates/john_brennan_barack_obama_reuters.jpg

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/---Xjyo-qrm8/UI1yFFvZnBI/AAAAAAAAAwI/-ynvI8tfmK0/s1600/A6LxsymCAAAs3J4.jpg

Many refer to the President of the United States, leader of the sole superpower in the world, as the most powerful person on the face of the Earth. It follows then that Barack Hussein Obama, as President, would be considered this person.

But that would be an incorrect conclusion. Even Obama with his “we can’t wait for Congress to act” meme, spurning the legislative branch, spurning the checks and balances the Founding Fathers put in place—even with Obama spurning the Courts in the recent NLRB ruling deeming his “recess” appointments unconstitutional, there is one man who wields more power than Obama: CIA appointee John Brennan.

How can that be? Brennan is man who is actually relatively low in the White House food chain, who is nothing more than an adviser to the President, with the title of Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism.

Yet this man has a virtually unchecked amount of power—no, let us call it for what it is—unchecked power. Congress, the Courts, the CIA, even the Pentagon have no reign over this man as we shall see in a moment.

It was recently discovered that Brennan, running something akin to a fiefdom with his drone assassination program, has the power to decide who lives and who dies and doesn’t have to provide evidence to any entity that the “target” presents any threat to America—even if they are an American—even if the American is living in the United States!

Investigative Reporter Michael Isikoff uncovered a secret memo, entitled:

“Lawfulness of a Lethal Operation Directed Against a U.S. Citizen who is a Senior Operational Leader of Al Qa’ida or An Associated Force.”

The memo gives the Obama Administration—in effect Brennan—the authority to kill any American citizen at anytime for any reason without proof, without due process, and with absolutely no oversight.

The key passage in the sixteen page memo is the following:

The condition that an operational leader present an “imminent” threat of violent attack against the United States does not require the United States to have clear evidence that a specific attack on U.S. persons and interests will take place in the immediate future.

This was the basis for the drone strike against American-born al-Qaeda-linked terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki in September of 2011 in Yemen. And this was the basis of the murder of al-Awlaki’s sixteen-year-old son Abdulrahman, along with several other teenagers who were engaged in an outdoor barbecue. While it is debatable whether al-Awlaki as an American citizen should have received due process, it is doubtful that his son, murdered two weeks after al-Awlaki, had any connection to al-Qaeda.

But this unchecked power exercised by John Brennan is mild compared to what we learned with the recent release of an extensive book on the Benghazi consulate attack on September 11, 2012.

The book, Benghazi: The Definitive Report, released on February 12 makes the shocking claim that Obama’s chief counter terrorism officer, John Brennan, aside from having the authority to murder American citizens, has been waging a series of secret wars in North Africa and the Middle East against Al Qaeda and Al-Qaeda-linked groups. How secret? So secret that he and his minions at JSOC, Joint Special Operations Command, operated not only outside the purview of Congress but outside the purview of the Pentagon and CIA. Former CIA head David Petraeus wasn’t even aware of Brennan’s secret wars!

According to Benghazi: The Definitive Report, the attack on the Benghazi consulate had nothing to do with, as we were told, an amateurish anti-Muslim YouTube video leading to a “protest turned violent,” but was retaliation for John Brennan’s JSOC attacks on the Libya-based terrorist group, Ansar al-Sharia. This was the group that we learned had taken responsibility within two hours of the attack, of which information was emailed directly to the White House Situation Room. After said information was uncovered, the Obama administration denied was true.

It turns out that, per the book, the West, particularly the United States, leading up to the 2011 Libyan civil war had been flooding Libya with literally millions of weapons. After the West—NATO, with Obama at the helm—decided to topple Gaddafi, these millions of weapons then fell into Al-Qaeda and associated groups’ hands. And what Team Obama wasn’t funneling to the Syrian rebels (what Benghazi: The Definitive Report calls an “open secret”)—they wanted to get back from groups such as Ansar al-Sharia. Brennan, throughout North Africa, had been conducting his secret JSOC wars against al-Qaeda and associated groups; and lo and behold, yes, Mr. Brennan, there was retaliation. And that retaliation resulted in the deaths of four Americans at the consulate in Benghazi on the anniversary of 9/11.

The whole Obama Benghazi cover-up was only partially about hiding the illegal funneling of Libyan weapons to Syria and was mainly about the real—but illegal—Commander-in-Chief John Brennan conducting secret wars in Libya—without approval from Congress, without approval from the Pentagon, and hidden even from the CIA, with only a behind-doors approval by Barack Hussein Obama.

How can the “adviser” to Obama—John Brennan—have the authority to make war on any country in the world?

The answer is he doesn’t have the authority.

Brennan should be arrested, not appointed to lead the CIA. And the man who is doing the appointing—Barack Hussein Obama—should be immediately impeached.

After he is impeached?

Prison will come in due time.

As a postscript, for the record, Benghazi: The Definitive Report makes it clear that when the Benghazi consulate was attacked and requested help, the CIA annex was told to stand down. They were ordered to stand idly by while Americans were slaughtered. They refused. According to Benghazi: The Definitive Report:

[Tyrone Woods’] leadership that day, and his refusal to sit by and all his fellow Americans to be overrun, is a testament to his character. His willingness to stand up to his CIA boss and do what was right is an example of true American heroism. Glen Doherty ran toward the sound of gunfire…

Impeaching Obama Gains Steam

impeach.obama.mko.

Let the president be duly warned. Rep. Walter B. Jones Jr., R-N.C., has introduced a resolution declaring that should the president use offensive military force without authorization of an act of Congress, “it is the sense of Congress” that such an act would be “an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor.”

120213obama2

Specifically, Article I, Section 8, of the Constitution reserves for Congress alone the power to declare war, a restriction that has been sorely tested in recent years, including Obama’s authorization of military force in Libya.

In an exclusive WND column, former U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo claims that Jones introduced his House Concurrent Resolution 107 in response to startling recent comments from Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta.

“This week it was Secretary of Defense Panetta’s declaration before the Senate Armed Services Committee that he and President Obama look not to the Congress for authorization to bomb Syria but to NATO and the United Nations,” Tancredo writes. “This led to Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C., introducing an official resolution calling for impeachment should Obama take offensive action based on Panetta’s policy statement, because it would violate the Constitution.”

In response to questions from Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., over who determines the proper and legal use of the U.S. military, Panetta said, “Our goal would be to seek international permission and we would … come to the Congress and inform you and determine how best to approach this, whether or not we would want to get permission from the Congress – I think those are issues we would have to discuss as we decide what to do here.”“Well, I’m almost breathless about that,” Sessions responded, “because what I heard you say is, ‘We’re going to seek international approval, and then we’ll come and tell the Congress what we might do, and we might seek congressional approval.’ And I just want to say to you that’s a big [deal].”

Asked again what was the legal basis for U.S. military force, Panetta suggested a NATO coalition or U.N. resolution.

Sessions was dumbfounded by the answer.

“Well, I’m all for having international support, but I’m really baffled by the idea that somehow an international assembly provides a legal basis for the United States military to be deployed in combat,” Sessions said. “They can provide no legal authority. The only legal authority that’s required to deploy the United States military is of the Congress and the president and the law and the Constitution.”

The exchange itself can be seen below:

The full wording of H. Con. Res. 107, which is currently referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary, is as follows:

Expressing the sense of Congress that the use of offensive military force by a president without prior and clear authorization of an act of Congress constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution.

Whereas the cornerstone of the Republic is honoring Congress’s exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution: Now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That it is the sense of Congress that, except in response to an actual or imminent attack against the territory of the United States, the use of offensive military force by a president without prior and clear authorization of an act of Congress violates Congress’s exclusive power to declare war under Article I, Section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution and therefore constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution.

Libs: Explain Why Water Boarding is Evil but Indiscriminate Killing of Civilians Isn’t [VIDEOS]

The evil clan of Bozombies are at it. How long will it be before dissenters are “sanctioned” for disagreeing with the administration?

Washington - According to John Brenner, Obama’s pick for Director of the CIA, everything is fair in love and war except water boarding. While he defended the drone program at yesterday’s Senate nomination hearing, he depicted water boarding as reprehensible.

John Brenner, in a rare display of bipartisanship, came under fire by both Democrats and Republicans during his nomination hearing in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee. In what the Washington Post described as one of the most heated sessions for a nominee in a decade, Brennan was asked to defend the refusal by the administration to provide basic information on the drone program, including the death toll. To make the point, he was prodded to square this with his assertion that he opposed enhanced interrogation methods, known as water boarding. In both cases justice department lawyers provided legal opinions justifying the programs.JohnBozombieBrennan

Earlier this week a White Paper was leaked and published by NBC news that justified killing American citizens abroad provided that they were an imminent threat to the United States, as determined by a high level administration official. The White Paper was vague enough to allow the execution unchecked.

A Justice Department White paper issued late Monday, justifies killing Americans abroad if they pose an imminent threat to the United States. The document details that the American citizen has to be associated group and poses an imminent threat to the United States.

The document further details that the imminent threat does not have to be based on intelligence of a specific attack, but “imminence must incorporate considerations of the relevant window of opportunity.” It must also take collateral damage to civilians into consideration.

While Brennan defended the White Paper policy and the drone program in general, he said that the water boarding undertaken by the Bush administration was reprehensible and had to be stopped. Brennan wasn’t sure if the enhanced interrogation program was effective and if it had yield any useful information.

On a second controversial topic, he said that after reading a classified intelligence report on harsh interrogation techniques, he does not know if water boarding has yielded useful information.

Despite what he called a public misimpression, Brennan told the Senate Intelligence Committee that drone strikes are used only against targets planning to carry out attacks against the United States, never as retribution for an earlier one. “Nothing could be further from the truth,” he declared.

Republicans have claimed that water boarding indeed yielded results and information extracted that vital information and possibly thwarted dozens of attack and may have led to the capture of Osama Bin Ladin.

This was confirmed in an interview of retired Central Intelligence Agency field officer John Kiriakou, who headed he interrogation of Zubaydah in Pakistan after his capture in 2002.

Kiriakou told ABC that Zubaydah was waterboarded — a technique in which the person being interrogated is made to feel as if he is being drowned — after initially refusing to cooperate with those questioning him.

Zubaydah withstood the waterboarding for “quite some time” — about 30 to 35 seconds — Kiriakou said in the ABC interview.

“The next day, he told his interrogator that Allah had visited him in his cell during the night and told him to cooperate,” Kiriakou told ABC. “From that day on, he answered every question. The threat information he provided disrupted a number of attacks, maybe dozens of attacks.”

While Brennan supports the Obama administration drone program, he said that it has to be acknowledged publicly.

Apparently Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) was not too impressed with Brenner’s answers. She opined that this rationale was long gone. She said that she thought the administration was victim of its own secrecy.

She said that she had sought permission to disclose estimates of civilian casualties attributed to the drone program, but was told she couldn’t since it was classified. For the public, the drone program doesn’t exist.

She also indicated, for the first time, that she plans to have the committee examine the creation of a special court to evaluate evidence against Americans who might be targeted, similar to the scrutiny applied to government monitoring of the communications of Americans suspected of having connections to terrorist groups.

Although the public and the media have been aware of the drone program, particularly the drone strikes into Pakistan, this week was the first time that the administration publicly acknowledged it.

Since 9/11 the CIA has transformed into a powerful para military arm of the US administration. While it still collects data from all corners of the world it has become more and more involved in striking foreign targets with drones from a distance. The whole operation can be likened to a computer game, where the operators guide a drone to its target often more than 10,000 miles removed. No stench, no noise and no real evidence of collateral destruction. Clinical and clean with minimum psychological effect on the operators, the program has become an effective tool for the administration.

If John Brennan were confirmed, he would be the most experienced director in decades, having served 25 years in the agency.

The question is if water boarding is so reprehensible, why isn’t the indiscriminate killing of civilians?

Pathetic Panetta and the Libyan Lies

http://www.zengardner.com/wp-content/uploads/panetta.jpgThe CIA knew, Panetta knew, Hillary Clinton knew, and Obama the Liar In Chief: The POTUS, must have known, that the USA was working on a covert operation to support the Syrian rebels via US Ambassador Chris Stevens at a diplomatic facility located in Benghazi, Libya.  The pathetically remarkable excuse by Panetta, Clinton, and Obama et al that the United States had no warnings of increasingly unstable geo-political environment and of possible and likely impending acts of terror in an already unstable Middle Eastern country such as Libya cannot be ignored especially on the anniversary of 911 – PBN

WASHINGTON — Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta told Congress on Thursday that the Pentagon had supported a plan to arm Syrian rebels that was developed last year by David H. Petraeus, the C.I.A. director at the time, and backed by Hillary Rodham Clinton, who was then serving as Secretary of State.

Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta, left, and Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, appeared before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday.

Testifying before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Mr. Panetta and Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, were asked by Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, if they had supported the recommendation that weapons be provided to the Syrian resistance.

“We did,” Mr. Panetta said.http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mgd1gNwN1AQ/UI7f3u5BQBI/AAAAAAAAAlU/Eiteu_-kPPg/s1600/EmbassyBombed.jpg

“You did support that” Mr. McCain asked again.

“We did,” General Dempsey added.

The White House, however, was worried about the risks of getting more deeply involved in the crisis in Syria. And with President Obama in the midst of a re-election bid, the White House rebuffed the plan, rejecting the advice of most of the key members of Mr. Obama’s national security team.

The New York Times reported in its Sunday editions that as the fighting in Syria raged last summer, Mr. Petraeus developed the plan, which Mrs. Clinton supported and that called for vetting rebels and training fighters who would be supplied with weapons.

His proposal offered the potential reward of creating Syrian allies with whom the United States might work, during the conflict and after President Bashar al-Assad’s eventual removal.

Some administration officials expected the issue to be revisited again after the election. But when Mr. Petraeus resigned because of an extramarital affair and Mrs. Clinton suffered a concussion, missing weeks of work, the issue was shelved.

Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta was said by some officials to have been sympathetic to the idea, which was presented to the White House last year, though a spokesman for Mr. Panetta declined to comment on his role when asked last week.

General Dempsey made his comments during testimony with Mr. Panetta on the Sept. 11 attack on an American compound on Benghazi, Libya, which led to the deaths of J. Christopher Stevens, the American ambassador, and three other Americans.

Discussing steps to improve security at American compounds abroad, Mr. Panetta said that it would take two to three years to add the 35 new Marine security guard detachments that the United States plans to deploy to improve the security of American diplomatic compounds abroad.

The Marines have guard units at 152 diplomatic compounds, but did not have one in Benghazi when the assault occurred. Mr. Panetta said that the role of the Marines detachments would be expanded beyond protecting classified information at the compounds.

“This could include expanded use of nonlethal weapons, and additional training and equipment, to support the Embassy Regional Security Officer’s response options when host nation security force capabilities are at risk of being overwhelmed,” Mr. Panetta said in his prepared remarks.

Mr. Panetta said that the Pentagon was not able to respond more quickly to the Benghazi episode because it had not received an intelligence alert about animpending attack.

“Without adequate warning, there was not enough time given the speed of the attack for armed military assets to respond,” Mr. Panetta told the committee in his prepared statement.

When the attack began, the Pentagon had no forces that could be rapidly sent to Benghazi or to protect diplomatic outposts in Tunisia, Egypt or Algeria that might also have come under assault on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

The closest AC-130 gunship was in Afghanistan. There are no armed drones thought to be within range of Libya. There was no Marine expeditionary unit — a large seaborne force with its own helicopters — in the Mediterranean Sea.

The Africa Command, whose area of operation includes North Africa, also did not have on hand a force able to respond rapidly to emergencies — a Commanders’ In-Extremis Force, or C.I.F., as it is known. Every other regional command had one at the time, but the Africa Command shared one with the European Command, and it was on an exercise in Croatia at the time.

In his prepared remarks, Mr. Panetta did not address the question of whether the Africa Command had requested any of these forces to be on hand on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Nor did he say whether Mr. Panetta or General Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, had given any thought to moving forces to the region as a precaution before the attacks in September last year.

Senator McCain criticized the Pentagon for not positioning more forces in the region before the anniversary of Sept. 11 so they could more rapidly respond.

“We could have placed forces there,” he said. “We could have had aircraft and other capabilities as short distance away as Souda Bay, Crete.”

Obama Cheat Skeet Fraud

Obama Cheat Skeet Shooting Fraud

UPDATE: We have evidence that Obama has at least three (3) different versions of where he was on August 4th. Breaking news coming soon. This looks to be another Barack Obama fabrication, and one that we hope he will not get away with.  No big deal right? We think it is a big deal because it just adds to the levels this man will go to fabricate for his sake a cult of personality that is not reality. We invite other photographers and videographers to comment. We have taken into consideration hi-speed 1/2000 or better shutters or frames of video. There is no reason for a shot taken, in our opinion, at this level an attitude for the muzzle. We believe this to be a staged shot so that the most uninformed will  be mislead.

What’s wrong with this picture?

Chances are it was taken as a single frame from a video. So where is the video why not show the public that? Why would they take a single frame from a video and suppress the video? Reason dramatization of the smoking muzzle. It is easy to see the level of the firearms barrel, far to level to the ground for skeet.

Has Obama ever held a gun before? His stance, posture and grip are wrong, and very high on the shoulder. This will leave a bad bruise.

Unless they used a high speed camera it looks like he’s firing a blank. Even light loads should show some barrel rise and recoil that would result in camera blur.

There are other issues with this photo, but we have spent enough time on this Prevaricator of the United States.

Let’s review:
Weapon too high on shoulder.
Aim too low for skeet.
No barrel rise or recoil that would result in camera blur, even in video.

What do you think?  Answer our poll question.

Lawsuit Holds New York’s Illegal Gun Bill Up For Further Scrutiny

ALBANY, New York (Reuters) – Two gun owners have filed a lawsuit seeking to overturn New York state’s sweeping new gun-control law, enacted after the mass shooting at the Sandy Hook elementary school in Connecticut.

The suit, filed on Tuesday in state Supreme Court in Erie County, is apparently the first to challenge the crackdown on firearms championed by Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Attorney James Tresmond, who is representing the gun owners, asked state Supreme Court JusticeDiane Devlin to enjoin the law pending the state’s response.

The law was passed on January 15, making New York the first state to enact tougher gun regulations after a gunman shot dead 20 students and six staff members last month at the Sandy Hook school in Newtown, Connecticut.

The law bans assault weapons and magazines that hold more than seven rounds of ammunition, requires gun owners to register most guns with the state and requires universal background checks, among other provisions.

The law also authorizes law enforcement to confiscate guns owned by a mentally ill person, if a mental health professional believes the person poses a threat to himself or others.

“A number of constitutional rights were just tossed aside here,” Tresmond said on Wednesday.

Under the law, the failure to register a gun is a class E felony. The suit claims that the provision violates the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, because it could force a gun owner who registers late to effectively admit to committing a crime.

The U.S. Supreme Court in 1968 ruled in Haynes v. United States that felons and others who are prohibited from possessing guns could not be forced to incriminate themselves through registration.

Tresmond said the law also violates the Fifth Amendment’s ban on the taking of private property by the government. The law requires people who own high-capacity magazines to either sell them or surrender them to the state.

The lawsuit lists as defendants Cuomo, Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, Senate majority leaders Dean Skelos and Jeff Klein, and State Police Superintendent Joseph D’Amico.

At a press conference after the lawsuit was filed on Wednesday, Cuomo, a Democrat, said he expected legal challenges to the new law and that he believed courts would uphold it.

“The more (people) understand the law and the more they hear about the law, the better they are going to feel because it has nothing to do with the legitimate ownership of a gun,” he said.

On Tuesday, the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association filed a notice of claim with the state, which gives the group 90 days to file a suit challenging the gun law. The association, which is the National Rifle Association’s affiliate in New York, said in its filing that the law violates the Second and Fifth amendments, the Commerce Clause and constitutional rights to privacy.

The case is Richard Dywinski v. New York, New York State Supreme Court, Erie County No. 290-2013.

Obama and Netanyahu – More Than a Bad Feeling, Total Dysfunction

Obama: The Enemy of Israel

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama heads into his second term weighed down by an American government snarled in partisan gridlock, but also by an unproductive relationship with the leader of Israel, the bedrock U.S. ally in the tumultuous Middle East.

And the puzzle that is the U.S.-Israeli relationship under Obama and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is only growing more complex.

“It’s troubled. It’s the greatest dysfunction between leaders that I’ve seen in my 40 years in watching and participating,” said Aaron David Miller, a scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center who served under six secretaries of state in both Republican and Democratic administrations. He was deeply involved in negotiations involving Israel, Jordan, Syria and the Palestinians.

“I don’t think we are headed for a showdown,” he said, “but the relationship will continue to be dysfunctional.”

Even so, the United States routinely backs Israel when much of the world is deeply critical of the Jewish state. For example the U.S. was among the few nations opposing the Palestinians’ successful bid for upgraded status at the United Nations and did not criticize Israel’s bombardment of Gaza late last year in retaliation for rocket attacks from the tiny Palestinian enclave.

Still, an array of issues muddies the alliance.

Netanyahu likely will win re-election on Jan. 22, two days after Obama is sworn in for a second term. Netanyahu is a hardliner on making peace with the Palestinians, a goal that Obama said was foremost on his foreign policy agenda at the beginning of his first term. Beyond that, Netanyahu has been pressing Washington to adopt policy specifics that would trigger a military strike if Iran does not pull back on its nuclear program — widely believed to be aimed at building an atomic bomb. Iran claims its program is for generating electricity.

A further complication is Obama’s nomination of former Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel as defense secretary.

Known as a maverick when he represented Nebraska in the Senate, Hagel is viewed by many in Washington and Israel as insufficiently supportive of the Jewish state. He has castigated what he called the “Jewish lobby” in the U.S., prompting some to label him anti-Semitic. While he voted for billions in aid for Israel, he has also called for engagement with its Hamas and Hezbollah enemies.

What’s more, he opposed unilateral American sanctions on Iran’s nuclear program, which the Netanyahu government believes is an existential threat to Israel.

Netanyahu’s office refused comment on Hagel when contacted by The Associated Press in Jerusalem. But Reuven Rivlin, parliament speaker and member of Netanyahu’s Likud party, told AP that Israelis are worried because of Hagel’s “statements in the past, and his stance toward Israel.”

But Ori Nir, a spokesman for Americans for Peace Now, a Jewish group that pushes for an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement, said fears of Hagel are wrongheaded.

“Talk of anti-Semitism is unjust and over-the-top,” Nir said.

Republican lawmakers’ opposition to Hagel is the latest in the partisan battles that have snarled the U.S. government.

Disputes over the budget almost led to major tax increases for middle class taxpayers, which neither party wanted. Other fights are pending over spending cuts and the government’s borrowing authority — both with potentially dire consequences for the economy. The newly elected Congress, with a Republican-led House of Representatives and a Democratic-led Senate, is similar to the previous one, which passed fewer laws than any Congress since the end of World War II.

While most of the partisan disputes have been on domestic issues, Republicans have continually accused Obama of not doing enough to support Netanyahu’s government.

The bad blood between Obama and Netanyahu began early.

In their first public appearance together at the White House in 2009, Netanyahu pointedly rebuffed Obama’s call for Israel to stop building Jewish housing on land the Palestinians want in a future state. Obama dropped the issue after it became obvious that it was a waste of political capital at home and that Netanyahu would not budge. Netanyahu’s government has continued to announce plans for new settlements in the Palestinian West Bank.

During the presidential campaign, Netanyahu hosted Obama opponent Mitt Romney in Israel as if he were already a world leader. Netanyahu denied backing either candidate, but his words and actions clearly showed favoritism for Romney.

On Iran, Netanyahu called at the United Nations in September for the United States to draw a “red line” on Iran’s nuclear program, beyond which Iran would face military action. Obama continues to insist there is time for diplomacy, but has said he would not countenance a nuclear-armed Iran.

“The more Netanyahu believes Obama is serious about preventing Iran from getting a bomb, the better they will manage their relations,” said David Makovsky of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. “If not, the issue of an Israeli first strike on Iran becomes more likely.”

Miller, of the Woodrow Wilson Center, said Obama will be too consumed with battling Congress on the budget, gun control legislation and other issues to spend much time on disagreements with Netanyahu.

“Is he going to go after Israel-Palestinian peace talks or war with Iran given all his domestic challenges?” Miller asked. “He will go to extreme lengths to avoid war with Iran.”

He said the two leaders are moving further apart on the Palestinian issue, but have found some consensus on Iran. “For the next six to eight months, I don’t think the president is going to push on those issues.”

But Nir, of Peace Now, says time is running out for a peace deal with the Palestinians and Israel could face another armed uprising like the one that bloodied the region in 2000.

“There’s more and more an atmosphere among Palestinians that there is no political horizon,” he said, “a feeling that diplomacy doesn’t work.”
