Iran warned the US on Monday that any attempt to encroach on the Islamic Republic’s ballistic missile program would constitute the crossing of a “red line.”
Tehran (AFP) – Iran fired two more long-range ballistic missiles on Wednesday as it continued military tests in defiance of US sanctions and fresh warnings from Washington.
After similar tests on Tuesday, Washington had warned it could raise the issue with the UN Security Council and take further action after US sanctions were imposed in connection with Iran’s missile programme in January.
US Vice President Joe Biden said Wednesday that the United States would take action against Iran if the missile tests were confirmed.
“All their conventional activity outside the (nuclear) deal, which is still beyond the deal, we will and are attempting to act wherever we can find it,” Biden said during a visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories.
Only 23 seconds warning was given before the weapons were fired, according to U.S. Navy Cmdr. Kyle Raines, a spokesman for U.S. Central Command.
The rockets were not fired at the Truman and other ships, and there were no direct communications between U.S. and Iranian navies, military officials said.
“The IRGCN’s actions were highly provocative,” Cmdr. Kevin Stephens, spokesman for the U.S. Fifth Fleet, said Wednesday in a statement.
“Firing weapons so close to passing coalition ships and commercial traffic within an internationally recognized maritime traffic lane is unsafe, unprofessional, and inconsistent with international maritime law.”
Iran’s navy conducted rocket tests last week near US warships and other commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, the American military has said.
The tests threaten to cause new tensions between the two nations following their landmark nuclear deal.
Iran fired “several unguided rockets” about 1,370m (1,500 yards) from two US vessels and a French frigate, US military spokesman Kyle Raines said.
The tests were “highly provocative”, said Cmdr Raines.
The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow waterway between Iran and Oman that provides passage for nearly a third of all oil traded by sea. The strait is also crucial for ships taking part in the war against so-called Islamic State.
In 2012 Iran threatened to block the strait, which lies at the entrance of the Gulf and is 33km (21 miles) wide at its narrowest point.
The latest incident, which took place on Saturday according to the US, follows a series of weapons tests by the Islamic Republic. Iranian media and officials did not immediately comment on the reports.
Iranian ships announced over maritime radio their intention to carry out the test 23 minutes before the rockets were fired.
“Firing weapons so close to passing coalition ships and commercial traffic within an internationally recognised maritime traffic lane is unsafe, unprofessional and inconsistent with international maritime law,” Cmdr Raines said.
The US Navy’s 5th Fleet is based in nearby Bahrain. It conducts anti-piracy patrols in the Gulf and serves as a regional counterbalance to Iran.
Iran signed a long-term deal with six world powers in July to limit its sensitive nuclear activities in return for the lifting of crippling sanctions.
However, this year it has also broadcast footage of a missile attack on a mock-up of an US aircraft carrier and aired film on state TV of an underground missile base.
The Strait of Hormuz was the scene of a battle between the US and Iran in April 1988, when the US attacked two Iranian oil platforms used for surveillance and sank or damaged six of its vessels, including two naval frigates.
Tensions had erupted after the near-sinking of missile frigate USS Samuel B Roberts by an Iranian mine.
In July 1988, the USS Vincennes was patrolling the strait when it shot down an Iran Air flight heading to Dubai, killing 290 people on board. The ship’s crew apparently mistook the plane for an Iranian F-14 fighter.
WASHINGTON — Four months after a historic accord with Tehran to limit its atomic ambitions, American officials and private security groups say they see a surge in sophisticated computer espionage by Iran, culminating in a series of cyberattacks against State Department officials over the past month.
The surge has led American officials to a stark conclusion: For Iran, cyberespionage — and the power it gives the Iranians to jab at the United States and its neighbors without provoking a military response — is becoming a tool to obtain the influence that many in Iran hoped the nuclear program would give the country.
Russia has carried out a series of deadly airstrikes against the terrorist group over the last few days and Vladimir Putin has now sent the country’s most elite special forces team into the war zone.
And speculation is heightening that offensive will be bolstered by the China’s People’s Liberation Army, following a number of reports of military movements in the region backed up by strong words from a senior government member at a United Nations meeting.
Reports emanating from the Middle East last week said China was planning on joining the fight against ISIS “in the coming weeks”, according to a Syrian army official.
While Beijing insists it will abide by the United Nations (UN) in the region, hints of an action were backed up when it spoke strongly about a coordinated response to the rising terrorist threat.
Speaking of the Syrian crisis China’s foreign minister Wang Yi said at the UN Security Council session in New York: “The world cannot afford to stand by and look on with folded arms, but must also not arbitrarily interfere.”
He added that nations should stand united against “violent extremist ideology”.
Mr Wang and his opposite number in Russia, Sergey Lavrov met at length last week and afterwards Mr Lavrov said the two countries are in “similar positions” on many domestic and international issues.
China has also shown solidarity with Syria, joining Russia in vetoeing UN proposals against Bashar al-Assad, which are likely to prevent him being referred by the council to the International Criminal Court.
The latest actions at the UN conference have come amid reports, citing key military sources, Chinese warships have made their way to Syrian shores through the Suez Canal.
It was said China’s J-15 warplanes would launch from an aircraft carrier for attacks on ISIS.
Russian media followed that up by quoting Igor Morozov, a member of the Russian Federation Committee on International Affairs, confirming Chinese aircraft carrier, Lianoning, and a guided missile cruiser were heading to the area, and adding Chinese military advisers were already in the region.
Mr Morozov said: “It is known that China has joined our military operation in Syria.
“The Chinese cruiser has already entered the Mediterranean, followed by its aircraft carrier.”
These reports have not been verified by China and satellite images show the Syrian port of Tartus, currently empty.
However, China come under threat from ISIS in recent months increasing the theory an attack is in the pipeline.
It began last year when ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi sent out a chilling threat to China over the perceived oppression of the Muslim Uighur minority in the state of Xinjiang.
Beijing claims members of the Uighur militant group, the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, have been training with extremists in Syria and Iraq.
China officials also say they face a severe threat of terror attacks in Xinjiang, where hundreds have died in clashes over the past three years.
China was further angered by ISIS insurgents releasing photos last month purporting to be of a Chinese citizen who had recently gone missing in the region.
They were demanding a ransom for his return.
ISIS has also spoken of its desire to increase its presence in China and last month a document from the group revealed the country is among a list of nations it wants to seize by 2020.
China has long maintained a policy of non-interference in the internal affairs of other states but, as well as the threat to its own country from ISIS, the situation in Syria is impacting on the Asian state’s economy.
That includes the China National Petroleum Corporation being forced to abandon its oilfields in Syria.
China also has oil fields in Iraq and would suffer heavily financially if these fell into the hands of ISIS.
Any interference in the region would pit China against USA and the Asian country would be keen to avoid a confrontation with its fellow superpower.
However, it would be a major boost to the Russian war strategy in Syria.
A senior Iranian military leader warned this weekend that “all U.S. military bases in the Middle East are within the range of” Iran’s missiles and emphasized that the Islamic Republic will continue to break international bans on the construction of ballistic missiles.
Much of this missile work, like the details of Iran’s advanced arsenal, remains secret, according to Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force.
Hajizadeh dismissed the threat of military action by the United States, warning that all U.S. assets and allies are in range of Iran’s current missile arsenal, according to comments made Sunday in Tehran and recorded by Iran’s state-controlled Fars News Agency.
The threats of attack on the United States were issued as Iran unveiled new high-tech torpedoes and the formation of a joint war room along with Russia, Syria, and Iraq.
“Some of the threats by the U.S. are aimed at appeasing the Zionists, while others are for the purpose of domestic consumption (in the U.S.), but what is important is that they are aware of and acknowledge our capabilities and deterrence power,” Hajizadeh was quoted as saying.
“We do not feel any need to increase the range of our missiles and (our perceived enemy) targets are fully within the range of our missiles,” he added.
Iran will not slow down the research and construction of advanced missiles, the IRGC leader said, despite international bans on such action.
“We do not see any restriction for our missiles and the IRGC’s preparedness and missile drills are conducted without a halt and according to our annual time-table, but only some of them are publicized through the media,” Hajizadeh said.
The comments echo those of IRGC Navy Commander Ali Fadavi, who warned last month that “the U.S. knows the damages of any war and firing bullets in the Persian Gulf.”
“The U.S. is obedient and passive in the Persian Gulf and we impose our sovereignty right in the Persian Gulf very powerfully,” Fadavi said.
The Pentagon confirmed to the Washington Free Beacon last month that Iranian warships confront the U.S. Navy on a “daily basis.”
Iran’s renewed war rhetoric and anti-U.S. posturing comes amid reports that Iran and Russia have taken the lead in Syria, where both countries are working to bolster the embattled President Bashar al-Assad.
A senior Iranian official disclosed over the weekend that Iran, Russia, Syrian, and Iraq are working on forming a joint war room to coordinate operations in the region.
The so-called “information exchange center” would be the first step in formalizing a joint operations center to coordinate military efforts in Syria and elsewhere, according to political adviser to Iraq Mohsen Hakim, head of the country’s Islamic Supreme Council.
“The information center has been formed some days ago after six months of discussions,” Hakim was quoted as telling Fars.
Information obtained by this operations center would be disseminated to officials from each participating country, according to Hakim, including the Russian and Syrian armies.
“Hakim underlined that the information center can be a preliminary step to set up a joint operations room or Centcom,” Fars reported.
Meanwhile, Iran unveiled a new high-tech torpedo that it claims can hit targets both in and out of the water. The technology for the missile has been borrowed from the Russians, according to Iranian officials who spoke to Fars.

Can we really be surprised at this? Corrupt politicians are funded by corrupt money. Let’s not forget about the Masters of Corruption in all this, the democrats. If you want to save your country America, don’t vote for dynastic candidates in the upcoming primaries for both parties, especially on the Republican side; democrats are born dynastic. Émigrés from Iran and Cuba are at the top of Jeb Bush’s record-breaking presidential fundraising haul, according to campaign finance disclosures that paint the former Florida governor’s opposition to Barack Obama’s twin foreign policy priorities in stark new light.
Mike Fernandez, a Florida-based private equity billionaire who moved from Cuba in the 1960s, appears to be the largest single donor – giving just over $3m in three contributions to the Bush-supporting Right to Rise group since March.
Hushang Ansary, Iran’s ambassador to the US before the revolution who is now based in Texas, is joint second on the list – contributing $2m together with his wife, Shahla Ansary.
Only US citizens or green-card holders can make contributions to political campaigns. Both men have lived in the US for decades.
Nineteen families or corporations have given more than $1m, according to the filings made available on Friday.
Please tell me that, whether you are a Democrat or Republican, you can’t see the utter corruption that is Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush. Tell me that out of 300 million people we have to resort to another Clinton or Bush as our choices for president. Haven’t we had enough of both? Isn’t it time that we elect someone who isn’t a lifetime politician, or that comes from an entire family of them? These two candidates offer nothing more than corrupt views of multi millionaires running the country.
I say the people who lead in the donation race are the least likely to be what America needs in office. The very fact that the most wealthy of people donate these obscene amounts of money tells us that they will expect something in return. And that from the start guarantees that the people of the U.S. will not be the ones getting represented.

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, spoke of eventually operating enough centrifuges to produce what 190,000 of its current models churn out.
Tehran runs 10,000 centrifuges, we wanted them to have 500-1500 but so far in this pathetic deal we seemingly are caving to allow them 4000-6000, that’s a far cray from 500-1500. We have heard that Libya is dumping oil on the market and part of this deal that is not being talked about is that Iran will also be allowed to do the same thing. In the Prime Minister of Israel’s own words…
“I’m going to Washington on a fateful, even historic, mission,” he said as he boarded his plane in Tel Aviv. “I feel that I am an emissary of all Israel’s citizens, even those who do not agree with me, and of the entire Jewish people,” ~Prime Minister of Israel, Bibi Netanyahu (Reuters)
spoken March 1st, 2015 as Benjamin “Bibi“ Netanyahu was boarding his plane from Israel to the United States in order to give a highly important speech Tuesday morning to our United States Congress.
Bibi’s speech before Congress will air on FoxNews Channel Tuesday morning. Check your local cable network for details
Mr. Netanyahu will be speaking on a topic of historic importance regarding Iran obtaining Nuclear weapons capabilities and Iran’s hostile intent to use those weapons to destroy Israel and even reach The United States of America. The Obama administration has been aiding and abetting Iran and other Islamic nations and entities such as IS by not even speaking of the existence of radical Islam, Islamic Jihad or Iran and other Islamic nations to establish a one world order global Islamic Caliphate at the behest and approval of all 57 Islamic States who are members of the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) not loosely, affiliated with the UN (United Nations).
For the very first time in the history of our two nation’s allegiance, The President of the United States, Mr. Barack Obama, the 44th, has refused to meet with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Christian Broadcasting Network wrote of the historic significance of Israel’s Prime Minister, Netanyahu’s arrival and the apocalyptic Toranical and biblical timing of Bibi’s speech on the eve of Purim, a Holy day of Fasting and prayer for Jews and Christians who celebrate Holy Days in both of their faiths united by the Word.
In the days ahead, Jews around the world will celebrate Purim, a festival the Bible directs us to remember, when the Jewish people were delivered more than 2,000 years ago in Persia (modern day Iran) from an evil anti-Semite –Haman — who had manipulated the king into issuing a decree that would annihilate the Jews.
According to the biblical account, Esther, a Jew, and her cousin, Mordecai, who raised her, were the instruments of deliverance.
This Tuesday, just hours before the Purim holiday begins, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will address the U.S. Congress, at the invitation of House Speaker John Boehner, to explain why his country cannot tolerate the threat from another group of evil anti-Semites in Iran to annihilate the Jews: the acquisition of nuclear weapons by the Ayatollah Khamenei and his government…
In the meantime, the gravity of the world situation and the daily reports of the persecution and murder of Christians and Jews has focused the attention of millions of Christians, as well as Jews, on what Netanyahu has to say. Many will pray and intercede, and others will fast, as Esther and her people did in biblical times.
We will pray for Israel, for Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel’s leaders, for wisdom for our own leaders, and for discernment to navigate the dangerous waters ahead. Who knows whether, as in the days of Esther and Mordecai, the address wasn’t appointed “for such a time as this…

Bibi warns USA that if Iran has access to a nuclear weapon, it will use it against not only Israel but our great Republic of The United States of America in order to usher in the grand goal of Islam, a one world order under the banner of Sharia as mandated by the strictest and most violent crop of Muslims yet.

Rick Leventhal reports for FoxNews from Gaza on the most recent violent murders by Hamas against Gaza residents it is supposed to be protecting. Hamas does not protect anyone at all except for its own jihadist murderers. The ruse is over.

Iranian military leaders announced on Wednesday that Tehran is readying new mid-range and long-range missile defense systems reminiscent of Israel’s Iron Dome system, which destroys rockets in mid-air before they strike the ground.
Brigadier General Farzad Esmayeeli, commander of Iran’s Khatam ol-Anbia Air Defense Base, said on Wednesday that the latest defense systems will go online on September 22, according to comments made Wednesday to Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency.
The missile defense announcement comes as the successes of Israel’s Iron Dome system are featured prominently in Western media outlets. Israeli officials have hailed the highly advanced system for protecting lives during the most recent conflict with Hamas by knocking many of the terror group’s attacks off course.
