Libs: Explain Why Water Boarding is Evil but Indiscriminate Killing of Civilians Isn’t [VIDEOS]

The evil clan of Bozombies are at it. How long will it be before dissenters are “sanctioned” for disagreeing with the administration?

Washington - According to John Brenner, Obama’s pick for Director of the CIA, everything is fair in love and war except water boarding. While he defended the drone program at yesterday’s Senate nomination hearing, he depicted water boarding as reprehensible.

John Brenner, in a rare display of bipartisanship, came under fire by both Democrats and Republicans during his nomination hearing in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee. In what the Washington Post described as one of the most heated sessions for a nominee in a decade, Brennan was asked to defend the refusal by the administration to provide basic information on the drone program, including the death toll. To make the point, he was prodded to square this with his assertion that he opposed enhanced interrogation methods, known as water boarding. In both cases justice department lawyers provided legal opinions justifying the programs.JohnBozombieBrennan

Earlier this week a White Paper was leaked and published by NBC news that justified killing American citizens abroad provided that they were an imminent threat to the United States, as determined by a high level administration official. The White Paper was vague enough to allow the execution unchecked.

A Justice Department White paper issued late Monday, justifies killing Americans abroad if they pose an imminent threat to the United States. The document details that the American citizen has to be associated group and poses an imminent threat to the United States.

The document further details that the imminent threat does not have to be based on intelligence of a specific attack, but “imminence must incorporate considerations of the relevant window of opportunity.” It must also take collateral damage to civilians into consideration.

While Brennan defended the White Paper policy and the drone program in general, he said that the water boarding undertaken by the Bush administration was reprehensible and had to be stopped. Brennan wasn’t sure if the enhanced interrogation program was effective and if it had yield any useful information.

On a second controversial topic, he said that after reading a classified intelligence report on harsh interrogation techniques, he does not know if water boarding has yielded useful information.

Despite what he called a public misimpression, Brennan told the Senate Intelligence Committee that drone strikes are used only against targets planning to carry out attacks against the United States, never as retribution for an earlier one. “Nothing could be further from the truth,” he declared.

Republicans have claimed that water boarding indeed yielded results and information extracted that vital information and possibly thwarted dozens of attack and may have led to the capture of Osama Bin Ladin.

This was confirmed in an interview of retired Central Intelligence Agency field officer John Kiriakou, who headed he interrogation of Zubaydah in Pakistan after his capture in 2002.

Kiriakou told ABC that Zubaydah was waterboarded — a technique in which the person being interrogated is made to feel as if he is being drowned — after initially refusing to cooperate with those questioning him.

Zubaydah withstood the waterboarding for “quite some time” — about 30 to 35 seconds — Kiriakou said in the ABC interview.

“The next day, he told his interrogator that Allah had visited him in his cell during the night and told him to cooperate,” Kiriakou told ABC. “From that day on, he answered every question. The threat information he provided disrupted a number of attacks, maybe dozens of attacks.”

While Brennan supports the Obama administration drone program, he said that it has to be acknowledged publicly.

Apparently Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) was not too impressed with Brenner’s answers. She opined that this rationale was long gone. She said that she thought the administration was victim of its own secrecy.

She said that she had sought permission to disclose estimates of civilian casualties attributed to the drone program, but was told she couldn’t since it was classified. For the public, the drone program doesn’t exist.

She also indicated, for the first time, that she plans to have the committee examine the creation of a special court to evaluate evidence against Americans who might be targeted, similar to the scrutiny applied to government monitoring of the communications of Americans suspected of having connections to terrorist groups.

Although the public and the media have been aware of the drone program, particularly the drone strikes into Pakistan, this week was the first time that the administration publicly acknowledged it.

Since 9/11 the CIA has transformed into a powerful para military arm of the US administration. While it still collects data from all corners of the world it has become more and more involved in striking foreign targets with drones from a distance. The whole operation can be likened to a computer game, where the operators guide a drone to its target often more than 10,000 miles removed. No stench, no noise and no real evidence of collateral destruction. Clinical and clean with minimum psychological effect on the operators, the program has become an effective tool for the administration.

If John Brennan were confirmed, he would be the most experienced director in decades, having served 25 years in the agency.

The question is if water boarding is so reprehensible, why isn’t the indiscriminate killing of civilians?

A Short History of America’s Gun Law Confiscations

312469_501518569914220_1278991991_nIn this short but cogent post by VotingAmerican you can clearly see, what every whinny liberal and centered conservative knows. And that is that the vast majority of Americans do not trust any form of Government to be able to protect them. We also realize that making thes guns black market just ups the ante for decent law abiding citizens thereby giving the criminal element a peek at our hand. But will it happen?  We say, if and or when the government tries to take the law abiding citizens guns, it will be a blood bath. Molon Labe. -PBN

A poll by Anderson Robbins Research (D) / Shaw & Company Research (R) found that 52% of Democrats say they would refuse to comply.

Only 22% of Americans believe gun control will reduce crime

58% of Americans believe violent crime would be reduced if more people had guns

FBI Annual Stats: Number of Murders Annually with Hammers Far Outnumbers Murders with Rifles

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_XCkTSf0swcQ/Shc0JWtK2JI/AAAAAAAAF8s/08WT25pV158/s320/GunandHammer.jpgLet’s ban everything, and let’s start with the current crop of unreasonable anti-constitutionalists. -PBN

by AWR Hawkins
According to the FBI annual crime statistics, the number of murders committed annually with hammers and clubs far outnumbers the number of murders committed with a rifle.

This is an interesting fact, particularly amid the Democrats’ feverish push to ban many different rifles, ostensibly to keep us safe of course.

However, it appears the zeal of Sens. like Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) is misdirected. For in looking at the FBI numbers from 2005 to 2011, the number of murders by hammers and clubs consistently exceeds the number of murders committed with a rifle.

Think about it: In 2005, the number of murders committed with a rifle was 445, while the number of murders committed with hammers and clubs was 605. In 2006, the number of murders committed with a rifle was 438, while the number of murders committed with hammers and clubs was 618.

And so the list goes, with the actual numbers changing somewhat from year to year, yet the fact that more people are killed with blunt objects each year remains constant.

For example, in 2011, there was 323 murders committed with a rifle but 496 murders committed with hammers and clubs.

While the FBI makes is clear that some of the “murder by rifle” numbers could be adjusted up slightly, when you take into account murders with non-categorized types of guns, it does not change the fact that their annual reports consistently show more lives are taken each year with these blunt objects than are taken with Feinstein’s dreaded rifle.

Another interesting fact: According to the FBI, nearly twice as many people are killed by hands and fists each year than are killed by murderers who use rifles.

The bottom line: A rifle ban is as illogical as it is unconstitutional. We face far greater danger from individuals armed with carpenters’ tools and a caveman’s stick.

And it seems fairly obvious that if more people had a gun, less people would be inclined to try to hit them in the head with a hammer.

10 gun-related bills filed on first day of new Congress

Gun-free school zones are ineffective. They make people less safe by inviting criminals into target-rich, no-risk environments

WASHINGTON — Ten bills dealing with gun control were among the first introduced in the 113th Congress, according to a review of documents filed on the first day of the session.

All but two of the measures introduced by House lawmakers Thursday advocated for more restrictions on firearms and were introduced by Democrats.

Freshman Republican Reps. Steve Stockman of Texas and Thomas Massie of Kentucky introduced bills to implement plans closer to that of the National Rifle Association, calling for the removal of “gun-free school zones.”

Gun-regulation opponents have argued that trained, armed staff or security personnel could prevent future school shootings like the one that killed 26 at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. read more

We have the ‘painful privilege’ of strongly supporting gun control in America.

I confess I stole this wordage from Bill Bennett Tweet: “We will discuss the CT shootings at length with Dr. Curtis Adams, and the implications for gun control with @ByronYork. A painful privilege. ” It is unseemly to be speaking about gun control at this time of tragedy. Our hearts and minds and thoughts go to the families and children in Connecticut. The left feels they are now able to threaten you physically, and it’s their right to do so. It’s amazing we didn’t hear the LSM an iota when Stephen Crowder was threatened by union violence and gun. Now we have leaders of the NRA’s lives being threatened, but this is okay because the left is bigger than the situation.  We have a feckless leader who will never condemn such actions, only encourage them.

It is absolutely shameless of the Democrats. Obama is the top SHAME. Nevermind the country is going off a fiscal cliff. The president could care less. We have maintained all along that Obama hates the US Constitution. Therefore he hates all the Amendments, especially the 2nd: The right to bear arms. Remember, it is the 2nd amendment that protects the 1st Amendment,  right to free speech. Michael Bloomberg is a constant shill for gun control. Diane Feinstein is going to make sure gun control is in the next bill. The left loves to ram this down our throats, as to give a purpose and meaning for their lives. Therefore, they contrive these meanings and purposes in their life.  Gun control is one of the ways the left feeds themselves.

This is not the time, but it was made to time. It’s a painful privilege at this time to share my undying support of the Second Amendment. Guns save many more lives, up to 250,000 a year. These kind of events can be prevented if schools and organizations have an open honest gun policy. Why aren’t schools preparing to be ready, instead of preparing to be the next victims. America was built upon the Second Amendment. This is the time to tell others to prepare for such events.

The Obama Revenge – Raise Taxes 1.6 Trillion

Mom and Dad just told me my share of the debt is $51,814.33 and growing. Already?

TurboTax Timmy even gets it… sort of. “I don’t see how you do this without higher rates. I don’t think there’s any feasible, realistic way to do it,”

“America…  truth is we’ll only earn about 12% of what we need, that leaves us with
88% that will come out of every middle class American’s hide. Obama hates America.” -PBN

No doubt the 2012 Presidential election was stolen from the voters.

Publisher’s Note: In addition to the fraud mentioned here by Mr. Farah, it is now being reported that Romney got absolutely no votes in 59 Philidelphia districts. The unofficial vote tallies have Obama beating Romney by a combined vote of 19,605 to 0. This fraud is blatant and obvious and will not go unchecked by the alternative press. For more info, you can see the article on Newsmax.

Contrary to popular opinion, I am not a “conspiracy theorist.”

I live in the real world – always have. I’ve been a journalist who goes where the facts lead him all my life – unlike most of my colleagues whose “facts” are predetermined by their ideology.

I understand Barack Obama and Bill Ayers because I was one of them early in my life. I even met Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn and Tom Hayden and Jane Fonda in the old days. I admired them. If Obama had been old enough during the 1960s and 1970s, I probably would have run into him, too.

If anyone has a balanced approach to the realities of political life in America, it’s me. I’ve looked at life from both sides. I know the arguments of the other side and can still spout them before most of today’s practitioners of so-called “progressive” thought can.

I also know that the reigning ethos of this movement represented so ably today by Obama is this: “By any means necessary …” It was first articulated by Jean Paul Sartre in his play, “Dirty Hands.” But it became popularized as a slogan of the revolutionary left by Malcolm X.

The oxen are hungry, give as you’re led.

Team Obama’s message to supporters: Don’t panic

In a conference call this afternoon, President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign had one central message for their supporters when Election Day arrives tomorrow: They should “keep calm,” even if they hear snippets of information favoring Republican Mitt Romney.

“My warning, we need to stay calm for much of the day,” Stephanie Cutter, Mr. Obama’s deputy campaign manager, said, touting thousands of early ballots already submitted by voters. “We’ve already banked a pretty big portion of our vote.”

The fear, she explained, was early numbers leaking before voters have finished going to the polls, creating unnecessary panic and pessimism among Democrats.

Oliver Stone’s new book rips President Obama

Oliver Stone the famous film maker, offers a scathing critique of President Barack Obama’s time in office.
Stone, who wrote “The Untold History of the United States” with historian Peter Kuznick, puts forth a liberal interpretation of American history from the turn of the last century to present day. The 618-page book, slated for release Tuesday – a week before Election Day – from Gallery Books, slams Republicans and Democrats alike, and the authors’ assessment of Obama’s presidency is tinged with disappointment.

The country Obama inherited was indeed in shambles, but Obama took a bad situation and, in certain ways, made it worse,” Stone and Kuznick wrote. “…Rather than repudiating the policies of Bush and his predecessors, Obama has perpetuated them.”

Obama’s election “felt like a kind of expiation for the sins of a nation whose reputation had been sullied, as we have shown throughout this book, by racism, imperialism, militarism, nuclearism, environmental degradation and unbridled avarice,” they wrote.

But on subjects from Wall Street reform to health care to Afghanistan, Stone and Kuznick rip Obama for breaking campaign promises and continuing the policies of President George W. Bush — who’s roundly condemned throughout the book. In some instances, they write, Obama went further than Bush’s White House toward anti-progressive policies.

“Obama asserted presidential power in ways that must have made Dick Cheney jealous,” they wrote.

Democrat offer free pizza and and T-shirts for their vote

Early voting only got under way on Monday and already a complaint has been filed.
Colorado Republicans say Democrats wrongly offered Colorado State University students free pizza and T-shirts in exchange for voting.

Operatives for the Democratic Party, or for what appears to be the Obama campaign, had set up a table located right outside the Lory Student Center, which is where one of the early vote locations is,” Colorado GOP Chairman Ryan Call said.

Photos were provided by the Colorado Republican Party that they say demonstrates their concern. They claim the Democratic organizers were too close to the entrance of the polling place and were violating state laws.
