The Obama administration has just announced its intent to ban all words that allude to Islam from important national security documents. Put differently, the Obama administration has just announced its intent to ban all knowledge and context necessary to confront and defeat radical Islam (news much welcomed by Islamist organizations [1] like CAIR [2]). While this move may reflect a naively therapeutic administration — an Obama advisor once suggested that Winnie the Pooh [3] should inform U.S foreign policy — that Obama, the one U.S. president who best knows [4] that politically correct niceties will have no effect on the Muslim world, is enforcing this ban is further troubling.
An Associated Press report [5] has the disturbing details:
President Barack Obama’s advisers plan to remove terms such as “Islamic radicalism” from a document outlining national security strategy and will use the new version to emphasize that the U.S. does not view Muslim nations through the lens of terrorism, counterterrorism officials say.
First off, how, exactly, does the use of terms such as “Islamic radicalism” indicate that the U.S. views “Muslim nations through the lens of terrorism”? It is the height of oversensitivity to think that the so-called “Muslim street” can be antagonized by (ultimately accurate) words in technical U.S. documents — documents they don’t know or care about — especially since the Arabic media itself often employs such terms. Surely we can use “Islamic radicalism” to define, well, Islamic radicals, without simultaneously viewing all Muslims “through the lens of terrorism”? Just as surely as we can use words like “Nazism” to define white supremacists, without viewing all whites through the lens of racism?
The AP report continues:
Obama’s speechwriters have taken inspiration from an unlikely source: former President Ronald Reagan. Visiting communist China in 1984, Reagan spoke at Fudan University in Shanghai about education, space exploration and scientific research. He discussed freedom and liberty. He never mentioned communism or democracy.
The analogy is flawed. For starters, in Reagan’s era, the Soviet Union, not China, was America’s prime antagonist — just as today, Islamic radicals, not Muslims, are America’s prime enemy. Moreover, unlike Obama, who would have the U.S. bend over backwards — or, in his case, just bend over [6] — to appease Muslims, Reagan regularly lambasted the Soviet Union, dubbing it the “evil empire.” Finally, the Chinese never attacked America, unlike Islamic radicals, who not only have attacked it, but daily promise it death and destruction — all in the name of Islam.
The ultimate problem in the White House’s new “words-policy,” however, is reflected in this excerpt from the report:
The change [i.e., linguistic obfuscation] would be a significant shift in the National Security Strategy, a document that previously outlined the Bush Doctrine of preventive war. It currently states, “The struggle against militant Islamic radicalism is the great ideological conflict of the early years of the 21st century.”
No doubt this important document will soon say something totally meaningless like “The struggle against extremism is the great ideological conflict of the early years of the 21st century.” Such changes bode ill for the future. For it is one thing to carefully choose your words when directly addressing Muslims; it is quite another to censor American analysts and policymakers from using the necessary terms that conceptualize who the enemy is and what he wants.
The situation is already dire. There is already a lamentable lack [7] of study concerning Muslim war doctrine in the curriculum of American military studies, including in the Pentagon [8] andU.S. Army War College [9]. Obama’s more aggressive censorship program will only exacerbate matters: another recently released strategic document, the QDR [10], nary mentions anything remotely related to Islam — even as it stresses climate change [11], which it sees as an “accelerant of instability and conflict” around the world.
At any rate, as I have argued [12] several [13] times [14] before [15], the U.S. government needs to worry less about which words appease Muslims — another governmental memo [16] warns against “offending,” “insulting,” or being “confrontational” to Muslims — and worry more about providing its own citizenry with accurate knowledge concerning its greatest enemy.
In short, knowledge is inextricably linked to language. The more generic speech becomes, the less precise the knowledge it imparts; conversely, the more precise the language, the more precise the knowledge. In the conflict against Islamic radicalism — there, I said it — to acquire accurate knowledge, which is essential to victory, we need to begin with accurate language.
This means U.S. intelligence analysts and policymakers need to be able to use, and fully appreciate the significance of, words related to Islam — starting with the word “Islam” itself, i.e., submission.
It means the U.S. military needs to begin expounding and studying Islamic war doctrine — without fear of reprisals [17].
In sum, it means America’s leadership needs to take that ancient dictum [18] — “Know thy enemy” — seriously.
Deplorably enough, nearly a decade after the Islamist-inspired attacks of 9/11, far from knowing its enemy, the U.S. government is banning itself from merely acknowledging its enemy, which is doubly problematic, as knowledge begins with acknowledgment.
Nor is there much room for optimism: if the Obama administration can easily expose America to attack by reducing our physical defenses [19], surely a subversion of our intellectual safeguards — that is, a subversion of something as abstract as knowledge — will go unchecked.

DUNEDIN, New Zealand – The Boston bombers, whoever they were, do not seem to have intended to murder anyone in particular. Like the Muslim extremists who blew up the World Trade Center 12 years ago, they intended to hurt America.
They sought to maim or kill the marathon runners because those young athletes were, to them, glowingly symbolic of the vigor and virility of that great nation that one of your celebrated poets magnificently described as “the athletic democracy.”
Success has always been envied, then resented, then despised, then hated: hated especially by those who have failed. And America’s success is all the more hated because it is – on any measure – exceptional.
No other nation on Earth has given such wholehearted consent to Disraeli’s maxim: “Any man may succeed in our society who defers to the principle of that society, which is to aspire and to excel.”
In Socialist Britain, a Labor supporter who does not own a Ferrari will sneer at one if it passes in the street and try to think of ways to stop people owning Ferraris.
In free-market America, anyone who does not own a Ferrari will cheer at one as it passes in the street and try to think of ways to own one.
The dismal dictators who still govern most of the planet strive to prevent their subjects from ever getting to hear about the freedom and democracy of America. While the U.S. Constitution stands, uneasy lies the head of every tyrant.
Of Britain’s great Empire it may not unfairly be said that those who won dominion over palm and pine by what Enoch Powell used to call “the peaceful accident of trade” did so with more than half an eye to their own commercial advantage. Yet the Pax Americana that has gently but definitely supplanted the now-vanished Pax Britannica is inconspicuously but again definitely altruistic. The profit motive may sometimes be present, but the will to share with the rest of the world the merry chaos of free-market democracy is always there, though seldom noticed and still more seldom appreciated.
Let us, then, rise for a few moments above the miseries that are the price of success: the Boston bombings, the Soebarkah White House, the antimatter-filled Treasury, the near-worthless currency, the rising sea-level of uncontrolled immigration.
Let us count instead the blessings that America has unselfishly, unstintingly brought not upon herself but upon the rest of the world.
Who was it, when Churchill said “Give us the tools and we shall finish the job,” that came generously to the aid of Britain and Europe during the war for the very survival of all that is British and all that is European against the monstrous might of Hitler’s hate-filled legions? Uncle Sam.
Who was it, when Keynes besought Congress for the funds to create the first welfare state, that lent such large sums at low interest to a Britain bankrupted by war that we only repaid the last tranche of that long-outstanding debt a couple of years ago? Our Uncle across the water.
Who was it that paid – and paid for two long generations – the lion’s share of the heavy cost of maintaining forceful vigilance on Europe’s long eastern frontier with the murderous tyranny of Soviet Russia? Good old Uncle again.
Who was it that that then paid – and paid generously – to assist the newly freed nations of Eastern Europe to rebuild themselves after Ron Reagan and Margaret Thatcher had brought down the Berlin Wall? Uncle Sam.
Who was it that led – and led gallantly – the task force that expelled Saddam Hussein from Kuwait and then, a decade later, expelled his hated despotism from Iraq as well? Play it again, Sam.
Who was it that led – and led courageously – the rebuilding of Kuwait, of Iraq, of Afghanistan?
Who is it that many nations across the globe have been able to thank for generous assistance – whether civil or military – that was unfailingly given whenever it was requested? Everyone’s Uncle.
Who is that still sets and exemplifies today the standards of life, liberty, prosperity and democracy to which men of goodwill everywhere aspire? It is you, Uncle.
As your nation grieves for those whose lives the bombers so wantonly and so pointlessly stole, and as it cares for those in whom serious injury has snatched away youth and strength, never apologize for being not only a successful nation but also a good nation, and a good friend to all the Earth.
Know, too, that we who admire America, and who have so many reasons for gratitude that my little list above is notable more for what it omits than for what it contains, shall always be thankful for your courage in daring to be to the world’s best friend.
We will remember your gallant men at arms who, shoulder to shoulder with our own, have given their all, time and again, on freedom’s farthest frontiers. We will remember also the innocent victims of Boston and of many more unspeakable acts of terror against your citizens.
Their deaths will not have been in vain: for they remind not only America’s many friends but also its enemies how much you have risked to keep the world safe; how much you have paid to make it prosperous; how much you have striven to give it the chance of freedom. A fire and chemical explosion at a Texas fertilizer plant in a small town north of Waco, Texas, killed an estimated five to 15 people, sent at least 180 to hospitals, flattened buildings and prompted widespread evacuations.
West Texas explosion video appears to show multiple blasts when slowed down.
The initial blast at the West Fertilizer Plant in West, Texas, occurred just before 8 p.m. Wednesday, but officials still were struggling to tally the dead and injured early this morning and searching door-to-door amid the rubble for survivors, Sgt. William Patrick Swanton of the Waco Police Department said.
Of the five to 15 deaths, Swanton told reporters, “I know that’s a rough estimate, but that’s the best that I can give you.”
West EMS Director Dr. George Smith, himself injured and bloody, said he had not personally seen bodies to confirm deaths, but believed the blast killed at least two emergency responders to a fire at the plant before the initial explosion and a person at a nearby apartment complex that suffered serious damage.
In addition, some responders to the fire were believed unaccounted for after the blast, according to Smith, Swanton and West Mayor Tommy Muska.
As they gained access to the explosion site, officials said they were treating it as a crime scene.
“We are not indicating that it is a crime, but we don’t know,” Swanton said. “What that means to us is that until we know that it is an industrial accident, we will work it as a crime scene. ATF [the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives] is conducting the main investigation.”

Obama is Islamic.
Because he is indeed very much not a Christian. Barak Hussein Obama was raised to be Muslim and as such believes what the Koran states: That all Christians/Catholics/Jews and Non-Muslims are “Infidels” = “Worse than Unbelievers.” – Obama is practicing “Taqiyya” which means “to deceive with approval for the purposes of furthering Islam”. He is fluent in Arabic, reciting Muslim Prayers, and in deciphering the Koran due to his Indonesian & devout Muslim upbringing. Obama reveres the Koran, unlike the Bible, which he seems to abhor (revealed by his order to cover the Christ symbol at Georgetown University in a speech dated April 14th, 2009) See bottom of article for proof and link.
For the record, the Bible was written over 600 years before Mohammad plagiarized the Koran. There is sufficient evidence that the Koran borrowed scripture, which is a crime of forgery, and twisted it by adding the recitations/writings of Muhammad through an alleged vision/trance by a visitation of the “Angel Gabriel”. “Satan comes as an angel of light…” Do not be deceived. “Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. The Muslim Brotherhood, founded in 1928, is a militant, pro-sharia law organization that has used both violent and non-violent means to achieve its ultimate goal of restoring the Muslim caliphate and the glory of the Islamic empire. The Muslim Brotherhood has spawned dozens and dozens of organizations across the globe, including the terrorist organizations al Qaeda and Hamas. Today, numerous Muslim organizations in America are either actively connected to the Muslim Brotherhood or owe their existence to the Muslim Brotherhood. Imagine the worst-case scenario if the sequester goes through. The market nosedives. The economy implodes. Empty shelves. Riots. The feds hit the streets in force to restore order in a “national emergency.”
The former Alaska governor and Republican vice-presidential nominee believes the federal government is “stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.”
Palin says the feds are afraid of what might happen if the sequester goes into effect.
She writes on her Facebook page: “If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3% in annual spending cuts when we’re running up trillion dollar annual deficits, then we’re done. Put a fork in us. We’re finished. We’re going to default eventually and that’s why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.”
The sequester will trigger $85 billion in immediate cuts to federal funding and $1.2 trillion over 10 years unless lawmakers reach a deal by Friday.
The prospect of civil unrest puts a chilling spin on an off-teleprompter remark then-candidate Barack Obama made in a Colorado campaign speech in July, 2008.
“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded,” said candidate Obama.
Palin’s warning echoes a WND report Feb. 17 citing radio host Mark Levin’s point that federal non-military agencies have purchased enough ammunition recently not only to shoot every American five times but also engage in a prolonged, domestic war.
Why do federal agencies need all that ammunition?
The government’s official explanation for the massive ammo buy is that law enforcement agents in the respective agencies need the bullets for “mandatory quarterly firearms qualifications and other training sessions.”
The staggering number and lack of details in the official explanation, however, has led to rampant speculation, including concerns DHS is arming itself to fight off insurrection by Americans.
“To provide some perspective,” Levin noted, “experts estimate that at the peak of the Iraq war American troops were firing around 5.5 million rounds per month. At that rate, the [DHS] is armed now for a 24-year Iraq war. A 24-year Iraq war!
“I’m going to tell you what I think is going on,” Levin offered. “I don’t think domestic insurrection. Law enforcement and national security agencies, they play out multiple scenarios. I’ll tell you what I think they’re simulating: the collapse of our financial system, the collapse of our society and the potential for widespread violence, looting, killing in the streets, because that’s what happens when an economy collapses.
“I suspect that just in case our fiscal situation, our monetary situation, collapses, and following it the civil society collapses, that is the rule of law, they want to be prepared,” Levin said. “I know why the government’s arming up: It’s not because there’s going to be an insurrection; it’s because our society is unraveling.”
As WND reported last August, news that the Social Security Administration was set to purchase 174,000 rounds of hollow-point bullets for 41 locations across the country followed word of major ammo buys by the DHS and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
A solicitation posted by the SSA on the FedBizOpps website asked for contractors to supply 174,000 rounds of .357 Sig 125 grain bonded jacketed hollow-point pistol ammunition.
An online ammunition retailer described the bullets as suitable “for peak performance rivaling and sometimes surpassing handloads in many guns,” noting that the ammo is “a great personal defense bullet.”
WND has been at the forefront of reporting growing federal police power across dozens of government agencies for more than a decade and a half.
Recently, other media outlets have begun to take notice of the alarming trend.
Andrew Malcolm wrote Feb. 8 for Investors.com: “In a puzzling, unexplained development, the Obama administration has been buying and storing vast amounts of ammunition in recent months, with the Department of Homeland Security just placing another order for an additional 21.6 million rounds.
“Several other agencies of the federal government also began buying large quantities of bullets last year. The Social Security Administration, for instance, not normally considered on the frontlines of anything but dealing with seniors, explained that its purchase of millions of rounds was for special agents’ required quarterly weapons qualifications. They must be pretty poor shots.”
Another recent report questions the motives of the DHS.
On Jan. 4, Ryan Keller wrote at Examiner.com: “DHS has stockpiled nearly 2 billion rounds of ammo. This is an unusually large amount for a federal agency to be stockpiling. The agency has refused to give an explanation for these purchases, going so far as to black out information on another solicitation, which is illegal without Congressional authorization or in response to national security issues.
“The typical response from the media has been that the rounds are for target practice; however, hollow points are not used for target shooting. Hollow points are too expensive and not designed for target practice; instead, full metal jacket rounds are used for training.”

The curriculum for Egyptian students at Sunni Islam’s “most reputable school” worldwide includes permission for them to use Christians and other non-Muslims as lunch, according to a startling report.
The institution is Cairo’s Al Ahzar University, the site of Barack Obama’s speech to the Muslim world in 2009.
“In the future, the Egyptian Islamists will not only be conducting systematic violence, but cannibalism against Christians and moderates,” concludes Arabic-language researchers Walid and Theodore Shoebat in a report on their website.
In a television interview cited in the report, an Egyptian Islamic scholar told the interviewer, “Listen also to what they teach to kids.”
The curriculum says, according to the scholar: “We allowed the eating of the flesh of dead humans … under necessary conditions. It (human flesh) must not be cooked or grilled to avoid Haram (evil) … and he can kill a murtadd (apostate) and eat him.”
The scholar complained “this stuff is being taught to kids at al-Azhar.”
“This is what is being taught to kids right now,” he said. “When they teach them this kind of stuff, their minds cannot accept civilization any more.”
The Shoebats say the university finds its support for cannibalism in Islamic authority.
The justification comes from Al-Shafie, considered a founder of Islamic jurisprudence, who wrote: “One may eat the flesh of a human body. It is not allowed to kill a Muslim nor a free non-Muslim under Muslim rule (because he is useful for the society), nor a prisoner because he belongs to other Muslims. But you may kill an enemy fighter or an adulterer and eat his body.”
The Shoebats’ report points out that it was at Al-Azhar in Egypt, regarded as the chief center of Arabic literature and Islamic learning in the world, that Obama gave a 2009 speech “which empowered the Muslim Brotherhood.”
The report says the Egyptian scholar “also added that the support for cannibalism from Al-Azhar will give the justification for ‘the establishment of committees for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice that’ll carry out this stuff.”
The scholar said the book he was referencing is used in the Azhari Colleges Section, Central Administration for Books, Libraries and Teaching Aides for third-year high school students.
The Shoebats point to an incident in the Palestinian Territories in 2000 that shows the teaching on cannibalism is not just theory.
“If one thinks that the Muslims have evolved into a modern mindset, one must remember what took place in Ramallah in which two Israeli soldiers were beaten and tortured to death, their bodies thrown down a window to the sounds of ‘Allahu Akbar,’ and their flesh then chewed by the crowd,” they wrote.
“Muslims in Ramallah held body parts of [an] Israeli while they cried out, ‘I eat the flesh of my occupier!’”
In ancient Egypt, the Shoebats’ report recalls, human sacrifice was followed by ritual cannibalism.
“On the temple of Edifu, all lands foreign to Egypt are pictured as being under the feet of the pharaoh, as four men, their arms bound, are about to be ritually sacrificed. As the sacrificial victims are awaiting their deaths, a person hovers over them, reciting the ‘Book of the Subduing of the Nobility.’
“This rite was part of an annual fertility ritual, the depictions of which have netted birds, fish, and mortals, as representing the enemies of the pharaoh – Asiatics, Bediun, Nubians, and others – which were to be eaten for ‘breakfast, lunch, and supper,’” the report says.
“By consuming the flesh of their enemies, the Egyptians believed that they would absorb their desired qualities.”
The report notes the increase in vicious attacks by Islamists in Egypt since the Muslim Brotherhood came to power last year.
In November, for example, “mobsters” entered a shopkeeper’s store to use his restroom. Owner Ahmed Gharib told them they needed to ask permission, so a few minutes later 30 bearded men arrived to “discipline him for insulting a religious figure,” the report says.
They tried to cut off his hand, but he fled.
“Egypt’s new constitution already establishes that the nation will be having a Saudi-style Shariah police which will be implementing not only this sort of violence, but the eating of human flesh,” the Shoebats say.
Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi’s “coming ‘moral’ mafia and mere Egyptian individuals will be given the power to partake in such barbarism,” the report says.
The Shoebats note the nation’s new constitution “mandates that any Islamic edict coming from the government must first go through Al-Azhar University scholars.”
“This means that the OK for cannibalism will be observed in Egypt.”
Ted Shoebat reported a few months ago a case in Egypt in which two brothers slaughtered their mother, sister and aunt.
They reportedly said their sister’s behavior was contrary to morality.
The incident was followed shortly by a report “of a butcher in Egypt who had killed his wife, flayed her flesh off the bone, and put it for sale as lamb in his market.”
At the time, Ted Shoebat warned, “The perverseness which has evidently possessed the Egyptian masses, who have recently elected Mohamad Mursi, an open member of the Muslim Brotherhood, will only escalate as time moves on.
“The multitude of maniacal Egyptians is only gradually turning into a crowd of zombies.”

Understanding Taqiyya ― The Islamic Principle of Lying for the Sake of Allah
“Taqiyya” literally means: “Concealing, precaution, guarding.” It is employed in disguising one’s beliefs, intentions, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions or strategies. In practical terms it is manifested as dissimulation, lying, deceiving, vexing and confounding with the intention of deflecting attention, foiling or pre-emptive blocking. It is currently employed in fending off and neutralizing any criticism of Islam or Muslims.

They called the Koran “confused dreams” and “mere stories of the past” and even tore it into pieces.
Through this all, he courageously endured all verbal assaults. Rather than calling for any punishment, the Koran instructs us to “overlook their annoying talk” and “bear patiently what they say.” The lesson here for all Muslims is that we are not to be afraid of insults. Rather, we must have the same courage as our Prophet to face such insults in the eye and respond with forbearance and calm, righteous speech. Muslims must learn how their faith instructs them to respond when they are verbally attacked. No riots; no violence. We respond to speech with speech, but our speech is to be better and more dignified.
So while antagonists and enemies of peace create slanderous videos, cartoons or advertisements – like the “Innocence of Muslims” film, Pamela Geller’s new ignorant NYC subway ads and Charlie Hebdo’s cartoon about Prophet Muhammad – let us not fall for their claim that an individual’s privilege to say whatever they want is more important than the higher principle of uniting people and saving this planet from a path of animosity, hatred and destruction. Rather than falsely accusing Islam of censorship, let us understand the beauty of giving higher consideration to mankind over our own personal privileges. And let us listen to the wisdom of the Khalifa of Islam, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, who said: “Let it not be that in the name of freedom of speech the peace of the entire world be destroyed.”

When the Supreme Court, or any other court for that matter, makes a ruling in a case they first look for precedent, in other words to see if there has been a court decision rendered on the same subject in the past and usually defer to the old decision in ruling on the case.
The greatest teacher in life is experience; it only takes one time of burning your fingers on a hot stove to know that you never want to touch another one.
The next greatest teacher is observation, paying attention to someone else’s experiences and profiting from their wins and losses, trials and errors.
In my generation I have seen the rise and fall of fascism, communism, different experiments in socialism and the kind of downright social and fiscal foolishness that leads to what has recently happened in Greece.
There is an old saying that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
There is at this time a huge debate in our nation about the private ownership of firearms. The president and the anti-gun crowd claim they do not want to do away with private ownership, that they only want to modify the existing laws having to do with assault weapons -which can be construed as anything in your gun cabinet of any heavy caliber – and clips for semiautomatic weapons holding more than 10 bullets.
I submit to you that what is going on here is the first assault on private gun ownership
They will take what ever they can get now and continue to chip away until all you can legally own to protect your family with is a baseball bat.
Did you know that one of the major reasons the Japanese did not attempt to land troops on the American coast during World War Two is because they knew that Americans owned guns and would fight tooth and nail for every inch of shore line.
Hitler disarmed Germany, Stalin disarmed Russia, and Mao disarmed China.
The mainstream media is quick to report any kind of gun violence but omit the stories where lives have been saved by legally owned guns in the hands of good citizens and the stories are many and varied all across the country.
Let’s look at some precedent:
In 1997, many Aussies were forced to give up their privately owned firearms. Over 630,000 were turned in to be destroyed as part of a “buyback plan” by the Australian government. Total cost of the buyback? $500,000,000.
One year later, here were the results:
Homicides nationwide: Up 6.2%
Assaults nationwide: Up 9.6%
Armed robberies nationwide: Up 44%
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms went up 300%.
Five years later, a “continued modest decline” in homicides was noted, but what has gone up in the land down under over the past few years is the number of assaults. Overall, assaults are up 40% and sexual assaults are up 20%.
Across the pond, Great Britain passed a handgun ban in 1998. Ten years later, many British “bobbies” are armed for the first time because of the amount of illegal guns in the hands of criminals.

I studied the story’s journey and trajectory through America over the past week with Sue Radlauer, the Director of Research Services here atForbes. We gave it seven days to see if any of the so-called “mainstream media” — a pejorative phrase that too-often obscures more than it reveals — bestowed the hate speech even a few sentences of back-page ink. Nothing.
But major, seasoned reporters still need to hold Morsi’s feet to fire over such comments – if not by asking him directly about them, then at least by reporting that he uttered them. Surely, if the president of virtually any other country in the world had defamed an entire people in such a way — only a couple years before they got the top job, to boot — it would have at least gotten a few column-inches. Yet Morsi gets a free pass.
