Breaking News: Ben Bernanke Feds Will Do More To Boost Economy

Chairman Ben Bernanke made clear Friday that the Federal Reserve will do more to boost the economy because of high U.S. unemployment and an economic recovery that remains “far from satisfactory.”

Bernanke wouldn’t commit to exactly what the Feds would do, only that it is going to do something, experts say it will be buying up more bonds.

He also argued that the Fed’s moves so far to keep interest rates at record lows and encourage borrowing and spending have helped bolster the economy. read more

What Is A Liberal?

Liberals are all about love. They love poor people… as long as they stay poor.

They love choice… as long as it’s not in education, energy, healthcare, or commerce.

They love rights… as long as we’re not talking about the rights of the unborn. They love black people… as long as they stay on the Democrat plantation.

Normally I don’t promote books, but I love this guy- Angel

Alfonzo is my new favorite Republican.–Ann Coulter, social/political commentator

Alfonzo represents the rugged individualism this country was founded on. Every time I watch one of his videos I want to stand up and salute. I see in him the same stuff the founding fathers are made of. He’s one of the most multi-talented, multifaceted, and one of the bravest bastards I know.–Andrew Breitbart, late political maverick

Pentagon may take legal action against SEAL author

I hope someone sues obama for letting Hollywood into the White House to view classified information for a movie, that was made to make him look like a knight in shining armour. This is another situation where you can say, obama hates it when someone else makes money that he can’t redistribute..

The Pentagon’s top lawyer has informed the former Navy SEAL who authored a forthcoming book describing details of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden that he violated agreements to not divulge military secrets and that as a result the Pentagon is considering taking legal action against him.

Jed Bush, Obama Stop Blaming My Brother for Troubles

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush had a simple message for President Obama when he took the stage here Thursday evening at the Republican National Convention: stop blaming my brother for your troubles.

“Mr. President, it is time to stop blaming your predecessor for your failed economic policies,” Bush said. “You were dealt a tough hand, but your policies have not worked.”

Said Bush: “In the fourth year of your presidency, a real leader would assume responsibility for his actions, and you haven’t done it.”

Debunking The Lies The Left Are Saying Against Ryan’s GOP Speech

Charge #1: Ryan voted to add $6.8 trillion to the deficit, which means he’s not a fiscal hawk.

Explanation: In a blog post written by a ThinkProgress intern, Ryan is accused of voting for bills that increase the budget deficit by $6.8 trillion. How do they get this number? By adding up the cumulative cost of all tax cuts that Paul Ryan voted for ($2.5 trillion), as well as “every bill that increased defense spending,” which has supposedly increased the deficit by $1.9 trillion. This only comes to $4.4 trillion, but ThinkProgress explains the rest using this table:

ThinkProgress and Slate Attack Paul Ryans Speech, And We Fact Check The Evidence

So is it true? Barely. Yes, Ryan has voted to spend a lot of money. Outside of Dr. Ron Paul, so has practically every member of Congress. It’s easy to quibble with the numbers here, but we’re going to point out two things instead. Firstly, this chart is of total cost for these bills, not total cost minus revenue. In other words, this isn’t what Ryan voted to add to the deficit. It’s what Ryan voted to spend. So their statement that he added $6.8 trillion to the deficit is flat-out wrong. Secondly, this estimate covers 10 years. Ryan voted to spend $6.8 trillion over ten years. That comes out to roughly $680 billion per year.

Compare this with President Obama’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2013, which would spend $47 trillion over the next ten years, or $4.7 trillion/year, according to Forbes. Ryan’s proposed budget shrinks that number to $40 trillion, or $4 trillion/year. Yes, that’s right, even the supposedly draconian, nasty Ryan budget spends many times more money over ten years than Ryan has personally voted to spend.

So this charge is deceitfully worded and quite arguably irrelevant.

Charge #2: Paul Ryan talked about a General Motors plant that closed in his hometown, blaming President Obama even though that plant closed under Bush.

Sandra Fluke Chickens Out Of Debate?

Apparently Sandra Fluke, is just that a fluke for the democrat party, she talks big hiding behind the democrat party but when ask to debate with a real woman, she chickens out…. from the daily caller

Liberal contraception activist Sandra Fluke isn’t taking up Breitbart.com editor Dana Loesch’s challenge to a debate on women’s issues.
The conservative firebrand Loesch has been tweeting at Fluke and publicly challenging the liberal activist Thursday to a debate and discussion on the issues, but Fluke, who strolled through the Republican National Convention Thursday afternoon, has not responded. Loesch has even gone looking for Fluke, who appears to have disappeared after a series of media appearances at the convention center.

Fluke showed up at the RNC with Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, early Thursday afternoon and the two paraded around media outlets in the convention center pushing their message.

Loesch isn’t surprised that Fluke has not agreed to a debate.

Obama Wants To Change The First Amendment

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell told The Daily Caller Thursday that President Obama’s call to amend the Constitution to overturn the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling is “an act of genuine radicalism.”

Obama on Wednesday afternoon participated in a question and answer session on the Reddit forum community, where he declared his support for such an amendment.

“I think we need to seriously consider mobilizing a constitutional amendment process to overturn Citizens United,” Obama wrote on the website. “Even if the amendment process falls short, it can shine a spotlight on the super PAC phenomenon and help apply pressure for change.”

“It’s an act of genuine radicalism,” McConnell said when asked about his reaction to the president’s statement. “We haven’t amended the First Amendment in 235 years. The First Amendment is the core of not only freedom of religion, freedom to petition the government, and the rest, but most important, freedom of speech,” McConnell said. “And when the founders were thinking of freedom of speech, they were thinking of political speech.”
