RNC sends the DNC a ‘You Didn’t Bake This’ cake in honor of Obama’s birthday… And the DNC sends it back

It‘s President Barack Obama’s birthday, but it seems the Republican National Committee’s efforts to get in on the celebration were rebuffed.

The RNC on Friday sent the Democratic National Committee a birthday cake in the president’s honor, but the DNC sent it back.

The cake’s frosting message? “You didn’t bake this” — a riff on Obama’s “you didn’t build that” remark.

“Since President Obama’s birthday is tomorrow, we actually wish him a happy 50.99726 years with this ‘you didn’t bake that’ cake,” RNC spokesman Tim Miller told Yahoo! News Friday. read more

Clint Eastwood endorses Mitt Romney: “The country needs a boost”

Barack Obama may have George Clooney. But Mitt Romney’s now got Clint Eastwood in his camp.

Eastwood appeared at a Sun Valley fundraiser for Romney on Friday night, telling reporters that he’s behind the former Massachusetts governor because “I think the country needs a boost.”

Romney invited the actor and director up to the microphone at the sundown event at the Sun Valley Resort Lodge. “There is a guy here from the world of acting, who has pursued his dreams in a very unusual way. He stood up to the industry and did things his own way,” Romney said. read more
