Britain Brings Military In For Olympic Security and To Fill Rows Of Empty Seats, Romney Was Right

The media in London may be attacking Mitt Romney for the comments he made but as I see it Romney was more right than wrong.They want to focus on Romney’s wife Ann and the horse she entered in the dressage competition using her own money, I guess they forget how rich obama is, and the tens of thousands he spends from tax payers when he visits their Country.

One “gaffe” the London press is focusing on that Romney said is “There are a few things that were disconcerting, the stories about the private security firm not having enough people, the supposed strike of the immigration and customs officials, that obviously is not something which is encouraging.

It seems he was spot on because  Britain was forced to bring in military personnel at short notice to provide security for the London Olympics.

Not only are they using Military for security, they are using them to fill rows and rows of empty seats at events including swimming, dressage, tennis, gymnastics and volleyball — according to reports in The Guardian and Telegraph newspapers — to the outrage of many, including U.K. Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt.

The Guardian said there were an estimated 500 empty seats at the swimming heats featuring Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte; more than 1,000 at the gymnastics morning section, which was supposed to be sold out; and more than 3,500 at the volleyball.

I think Britain would do well to take Romney’s advice, and stop being so thinned skinned, he was merely trying to help them not hurt them with his comments.
