The biggest spin of obama and his administration yet are claiming oil prices and gas prices are a blessing in a disguise. They are saying if gas prices stay high for over a year, lives could be saved…hmmm so will they work this into obama care so when people get sick they will just raise gas prices so they won’t die…
“Drivers are paying a heavy price for gas in my district… blah, blah Bush” Speaker Pelosi, 2007 |
On Tuesday, Obama stressed that the economy is improving and that this is not a time to reduce the amount of spending money, “And when gas prices are on the rise again is because as the economy strengthens, global demand for oil increases.”
When George Bush was in office, Democrats and their “news media on a rope” made it sound as if the world was ending due to high gas prices.
2008: Candidate Obama told of people who either quit their jobs or couldn’t look for new ones because it cost too much to fill up a tank. “I know how bad people are hurting,” he said back then. 2008: “Drivers are paying a heavy price,” said then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, “for the Bush administration’s failure to enact a comprehensive energy strategy.” 2006: The price of gas, reminded Hillary Clinton had doubled since Bush had taken office. 2004: Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe held up a gas can — with the label “Can Bush” on it — and said, “It is now time to can Bush.” 2004: Democratic nominee John Kerry said, “We need a president who’s fighting for the American worker, the American family at the fuel pumps to lower the price of gasoline in the United States.” 2004: Ten Democratic governors sent a joint letter to Bush the administration has “fallen short” on resolving the rising prices, “let alone addressing the concerns of American consumers.” ”We strongly encourage you to direct the Department of Energy to conduct a comprehensive investigation of the entire gasoline pricing structure2008: Barbara Boxer said Bush failed to pass a comprehensive energy bill and that was the reason for high gas prices…2008: Pelosi claimed That “two oil men” in the white house were to blame for high gas prices, You guessed it: the two “oil men” Pelosi blames are former president Bush and former vice president Cheney. The story focuses heavily on Nancy Pelosi’s attacks on Bush and his administration…
2008: Daschle said, “Bush has been silent on the issue. He’s been unengaged and showing absolutely no leadership.”
But now that obama is President, all of a sudden high gas prices are a blessing in disguise, Obama deflected blame for high gas prices , by blaming American consumers for their automobile choices. According to the AP, at an event at a wind turbine plant, “Obama needled one questioner who asked about gas prices.” Obama laughingly said: “If you’re complaining about the price of gas and you’re only getting 8 miles a gallon, you know…you might want to think about a trade-in.”
Under Obama, the price of gas climbed by 83 percent. When Obama entered the White House in January 2009, the city average price for one gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $1.79
Before President Obama took office, his personal vehicle of choice was a Chrysler 300C sporting a V8 engine averaging 17 miles-per-gallon in the city. The president’s campaign vehicle was a GMC Yukon, which was “flex-fuel” averaging… 17 mpg. So it appears the president’s personal fuel standard is 17 mpg. But of course, this is a ‘do as we say, not as we do’ activist administration. You must live by a different set of rules.
We have a fragile U.S. economy, and gas prices could threaten its recovery. According to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll, 68% of Americans say the high cost of gasoline has forced them to cut back on other areas of spending. And 62% said they are driving less because of how much it costs to fill the tank.
A 25-cent jump in gasoline prices, if sustained over a year, would cost the economy about $35 billion. Economists say it’s a meaningful amount, especially at a time when growth is only so-so.
So what’s Obama’s response? He treats it like a badge of honor, saying this week that “gas prices are on the rise again because as the economy strengthens, global demand for oil increases.”
During his presidential campaign, Obama admitted he didn’t have a problem with sky-high gasoline prices, he just “would have preferred a gradual adjustment.”
His choice for energy secretary, Steven Chu, certainly doesn’t mind them. Before joining the administration he said that “somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.”
And last year, Chu claimed “the price of gasoline over the long haul should be expected to go up.”
Obama has had the chance to encourage production, he’s done the opposite:
• He needlessly halted Gulf drilling permits after the BP oil spill, and continues to slow-walk them. Permit approvals are less than half their pre-Obama average, and approval times have nearly doubled.
• Obama scuttled the 700,000-barrels-a-day Keystone XL pipeline, despite approval by the State Department after an exhaustive three-year review.
• And he endlessly demonizes oil companies while pushing to sharply raise their taxes.
The truth is that for Obama, low gas prices are the problem.
When all is said and done perhaps higher gas prices could be a blessing in disguise, maybe God will bless us by getting obama out of the White House…

If there was one thing that PBN would encourage at this timely juncture it would be to share this informative post Angel. The People need the disinfectant of the truth, wonderful information!
